This is a record of an interview conducted on December 11, 2020, between Practitioner Su and the Jade Emperor. Practitioner Su, observing the insufficient rainfall at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, sought guidance from the Jade Emperor regarding the meteorological conditions and inquired about the appropriateness of establishing a memorial tablet for the Rain God to assist in the matter.

The Jade Emperor speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am the Jade Emperor. From my vantage point within the heavenly realms, I am constantly observing the weather patterns and the specific rainfall conditions surrounding the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre and its surrounding regions. I see the efforts of the and the salvation team. The current rainfall, while perhaps not meeting the immediate expectations of those on the ground, is entirely in accordance with the will of Heaven. It serves as a gesture of applause and recognition from the heavens for the salvation team at the temple, who have been so diligently and sincerely chanting the sacred name of Namo Amituofo."

The Will of Heaven and the Gift of Rain

"Your sincere and earnest hearts, your heartfelt plea for rain—the heavens have heard you clearly. It has not yet been the appointed time for a significant downpour since the last rainfall. This light, gentle sprinkle is a humble gift from the heavens to the salvation team. Please, accept it with a smile! The Rain God and the various other deities remain stationed at the temple, standing by at all times, ready to act upon further instructions."

Adhering to Universal Principles

Practitioner Su requested rain, acting in accordance with the universal principle, and it should indeed rain!

"Indeed, that is correct! In acting according to the universal principle, we hold deep respect for Practitioner Su's great power and great wisdom. I ask that Practitioner Su and the salvation team continue with your current practice of chanting Namo Amituofo. The day of the heavy rain is not far off. Namo Amituofo."
