The Jade Emperor's Decree for Rain
An Interview with the Jade Emperor regarding Goombungee
Recorded on October 3, 2020
This is a record of an interview with the Jade Emperor, who was invoked to address the urgent need for rain in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. The dialogue was facilitated through the spiritual connection of Practitioner Su at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre. This account was recorded by the editorial team on October 3, 2020.
South Sea Dragon King Gu Nantian speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. The living beings of this land are suffering deeply under the parched earth. If they are to be spared from the agony of water scarcity, we must beg for the heavens to bestow sweet dew. To seek this rain, we have utilised the today. Practitioner Su, through his , has visualised the request for rain, leading the residents of Goombungee, the spirits, and the ghosts in sincere chanting of Namo Amituofo. The chanting team, Venerable Chang Ren, the Bodhisattvas of the universe, and the fourfold assembly of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre have all come together to plead for this grace. Even the very dust and soil of Goombungee are kneeling in prayer for the rain. Practitioner Su has previously communicated with the Four Great Dragon Kings, and now, he humbly requests the Jade Emperor to show and send down the sweet dew. We await your divine instruction."
The Divine Consideration of Timing
The Jade Emperor speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. Compassionate Practitioner Su has once again petitioned for rain for Goombungee. Naturally, this request is granted. In truth, I still owe Practitioner Su a great deal of rain. When Practitioner Su first returned to the temple, I sent rain daily, but because the construction of the Village at the temple was about to commence, he requested a temporary pause. Now, I too have been considering the timing; if I send rain, it will inevitably impact the construction progress at the temple. I have even considered sending rain during the night, but even then, the work would be affected. I have been waiting for the appropriate date to manifest this blessing. Practitioner Su’s compassion is something that all the Great Dragon Kings deeply admire and agree with."
A World in Need of Deliverance
"Today, the hearts of people in this world are unsettled. They remain in a state of anxiety due to the impact of the pandemic, which has further stirred up karmic forces and created obstacles. The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is a group dedicated to saving the world. I ask that Practitioner Su, just as he did previously, join hands with the ancestral masters and venerable masters in chanting. I ask the fourfold assembly to set their hearts on chanting to seek rain, and in doing so, deliver the spirits and dedicate the merit. If you seek rain with a sincere heart, your collective wishes will be fulfilled, and the sweet dew shall descend."
"May there be gratitude for the compassion of the Jade Emperor, the compassion of Namo Amituofo, and the compassion of Practitioner Su. Namo Amituofo."
