This discourse was recorded by Venerable HaiZe on April 17, 2021, at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre. It details the spiritual origins of the drought in Taiwan and the compassionate intervention of Practitioner Su to restore balance to the environment.

Venerable HaiZe speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. This is a record of the discourse provided by Namo Amituofo regarding the phenomenon of rainfall and the current drought.

The Subtle Law of Causal Conditions

Namo Amituofo explains: 'Within every drop of rain, there are water molecules. Where they fall and in what quantity is entirely determined by . The Law of Causal Conditions and the causes and effects is subtle and profound; it is not something that can be understood through ordinary worldly logic alone.'

The Suffering of the Land

'At this moment, Taiwan is suffering from a lack of rain. The earth is parched, and sentient beings are enduring great hardship. Practitioner Su has made a compassionate vow to pray for rain, utilizing the power of the to perform for the spirits of both the living and the departed.'

The Weight of Human

'Think about how many livestock, pigs, and fish have lost their lives to satisfy human appetites, becoming wandering souls. Consider how many pesticides have scarred the earth, polluting our streams, rivers, and oceans. The forests in the mountains have been cleared, causing the soil and stone to shift, while countless insects, creatures, and marine life have been displaced or destroyed.'

Resolution Through Deliverance

'When these accumulated grievances manifest as disasters and plagues, only through deliverance can these spirits be freed from their suffering, regain their human form, and ascend to the heavenly realms or the Western Pure Land. This process helps to resolve the conflict of the plagues and the deep-seated grievances. However, this transformation of karma still requires the right conditions and the application of great strength.'

The Power of Collective Chanting

'Namo Amituofo, Guan Yin , Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva, the patriarchs and venerable masters, and the teachers all participate in this effort. Practitioner Su leads the salvation team, and together, they chant Buddha's name with a heart of pure Goodness. This collective effort resolves all obstacles and clears the dark energy of the spirit realm. By alleviating suffering and transforming karma, the heart finds peace. This is the true method to bring about the rain and end the time of drought.' Namo Amituofo."
