During the twelfth day of the Taiwan, Hong Kong, and World Disaster Relief and Blessing Assembly, amidst the solemnity of the noon offering, Namo Amituofo provided these profound teachings on the nature of light and our return to the true self.
The Search for the Eternal Light
The world is constantly changing, and in this flux, we all seek a guiding light. How many sentient beings, lost in the endless cycle of reincarnation, are desperately searching for that place of illumination? Yet, you have become covered in the dust of worldly attachments, and in doing so, you have forgotten the way back to your true home.
My child! In this very lifetime, you must return. Do not delay, for the light is already burning brightly before you. It is a beacon of hope in the darkness of samsara, waiting for you to recognise it.
Following the Path to the of Ultimate Bliss
You must follow this beam of light. This light is the path that leads to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, guiding you directly to the gate of liberation. The Buddha’s teachings are vast and profound, yet if you do not study and practise them with sincerity, you cannot achieve the goal of ending your suffering.
Your practice must be focused on finding the light that resides within your own true self. It is not something found in the external world, but rather something that must be uncovered from within your own heart and mind.

I have already lit this lamp for every one of you. In truth, you only need a single moment of awakening to see it. This brilliant light of your true self is something you have always possessed; it is your original nature, pure and untainted.
My child, do not continue to suffer in the cycle of reincarnation. Come home! Come back to me, my child.
