Teachings from Namo Amituofo, recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Venerable HaiZe.

On the tenth of August, 2024, during the first session, Namo Amituofo provided these profound teachings regarding the nature of the Buddha Land.

The Magnificent Design of the

The Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is a sacred realm specifically prepared by Namo Amituofo for all spiritual beings throughout the vastness of the Realm, the universe, and the Milky Way. It is a sanctuary of unparalleled perfection. To create this realm, Namo Amituofo carefully examined the virtues and conveniences of twenty-one billion other Buddha lands. He chose to adopt their finest qualities while discarding any limitations or shortcomings. Consequently, the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss was constructed entirely upon the foundation of the Forty-eight Great Vows. It stands as a unique Buddha land where any being who arrives can attain Buddhahood within a single lifetime.

A Sanctuary of Infinite Light and Life

Within this magnificent realm, the environment is one of constant, uninterrupted growth. Namo Amituofo continuously lectures on the Dharma 24/7. Those who are reborn in the Western Pure Land exist within the state of Infinite Life and Infinite Light. By immersing themselves in these teachings, they steadily progress along the Buddha's path. Eventually, they enter the Land of Eternally Quiescent Light, where they fully attain the fruit of Buddhahood within the bliss of the Pure Land.

The Journey of the Soul

For all beings, the path to this realm begins with the diligent practice of the Forty-eight Great Vows and the purification of one's Body-Mind-Spirit. Consider those of us currently living in the human world. When our physical bodies reach the end of their lifespan and begin to decay, the spirit remains. If that spirit has maintained a single-minded focus on chanting Namo Amituofo, it will be able to connect with the Buddha’s heart. Sensing the sincerity of this chanting, Namo Amituofo will immediately appear before the practitioner. Whether through the continuous chanting of the fourfold assembly or the individual's own efforts in chanting, the Buddha will receive the spirit and guide it safely into the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

Building Your Own Buddha Land

One might ask: have the members of the fourfold assembly established their own Buddha land within their true nature? For those who have reached and are on the path to attaining Buddhahood, the establishment of a Buddha land is a natural manifestation of their original vows. Just as Namo Amituofo established the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss based on the vows he made while practising on the causal ground, so too does an awakened being build their own land based on their specific vows to save others. The core motivation of an awakened being is the salvation of all suffering beings. It is through this vow to save others that -nature Buddha land is constructed.

The Dharma-Nature Land at Hsiang Kuang

The at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is a prime example of this process. It was established by Practitioner Su specifically for the purpose of saving beings. Because it is imbued with the supportive power and of Namo Amituofo, it is a truly magnificent Dharma-Nature Land. The light of such Buddha lands shines into the heart, into the Dharma Realm, and into the very place where they are situated. The Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, and indeed the Western Dharma-Nature Land at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, are both established through the majestic power of the Buddha. You, too, as members of the fourfold assembly, can establish your own self-nature Buddha land after you have attained Awakening and achieved the Buddha's path. This land will manifest within your heart, within the Dharma Realm, and within the place where you reside. Namo Amituofo.
