The Miracle of Rebirth

The Veil of Confusion

The original purity and radiant light of our true self-nature are inherently perfect and filled with pure faith. However, this brilliance has been obscured and covered by the chaos of beginningless confusion. Because of this, the clear light and pure faith have become invisible to us. Instead, our lives are dominated by darkness, contamination, and the relentless waves of greed, anger, delusion, arrogance, and doubt, as well as the attachments to wealth, lust, fame, food, and sleep. These forces surge forth like a turbulent ocean, forever changing the once-calm surface of our minds.

How many sentient beings are caught in this tide? They are unable to escape and are swallowed by the sea of karma, sinking into the cycle of rebirth with no end in sight.

Navigating the Dimensions of Spirit

In this world, the six realms of existence are intricately intertwined. Although the dimensions may differ, the fundamental essence of our spirits remains the same. It is only because we take on different physical forms through rebirth that we perceive these spaces as separate. The more pure and untainted a spirit is, the less it is restricted by the impurities of the world. Such a spirit can traverse the barriers between dimensions and enter other realms of existence.

This continues until one reaches a state of complete purity, total knowledge, and the full manifestation of the true self-nature. By acting in accordance with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, one can, in moments of extreme crisis, transform the fate of a spirit whose conditions have matured. This allows one to turn danger into safety. However, one must then walk firmly upon the Right Way, avoiding all hypocrisy and deviation, to preserve this newly regained spiritual life. If one falls back into hypocrisy, the spirit will once again manifest its karma and suffer the consequences it was meant to endure. To use great wisdom to transform the illusory realm of karma is a rare and precious opportunity indeed.

The Radiant Pearl of Awakening

Because we are currently in the period of the Dharma-Ending Age, it is extremely rare to find someone who can recover their original, pure, and true self-nature. Imagine, within the vast and boundless ocean of karma, a single pearl of awakening from the deep sea. Its brilliant light shines from the very bottom of the ocean, illuminating the surface. All the infinite spiritual lives within this sea, including all the myriad spirits within the boundless spaces of this ocean, benefit from this light. They receive the energy of the myriad virtues contained within that light, which allows their spiritual life to continue.

Countless spirits, once trapped by the limitations of their respective dimensions, are liberated and helped to recover their original form. This energy of myriad virtues is none other than the six-character name: Namo Amituofo.

The True Meaning of Rebirth

Regardless of the circumstances, for the spirits encountered and saved, there are two paths to what we call rebirth. For those whose lives have not yet ended, the energy of the myriad virtues enriches their spiritual life, allowing them to engage in the practice of saving lives through the Pure Land path. Together, they work to help all sentient beings enter the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This is a form of rebirth while still in the body. For those whose lives have ended, surrounded by the Buddha-light and the chanting of the Buddha-name, they are guided into the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This, too, is rebirth.

The Sacred Mission at Hsiang Kuang

Furthermore, one may encounter the highest form of spirit in the Dharma Realm—the Universal Buddha, the Teaching Master of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, Namo Amituofo—who manifests here in the human world at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. By receiving the light of the pearl of awakening from the sea of karma, and through the Buddha's blessings and infinite radiance, the Dharma Body of this pearl of awakening can manifest the power of the Buddha-light within the suffering Dharma Realm of emptiness and the Milky Way. Through this, various spirits are saved and reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This pearl of awakening from the sea of karma is none other than Practitioner Su.

At this very moment, Namo Amituofo and the awakened Practitioner Su are engaged in the work of saving the world at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. Practitioner Su and the fourfold community of disciples walk together with the Buddha. Namo Amituofo.
