During the first session of the , we are invited to contemplate the fundamental nature of our actions and intentions. It is a time to pause and reflect upon the standards by which we live our lives.

The Mirror of the Universal Truth

Where can one find the true standard for distinguishing between goodness and evil? This standard is not merely a human construct; it is woven into the very fabric of existence. We find it in the following places:

  • In the Truth that governs the universe.
  • Within the depths of the human heart.
  • In the myriad phenomena of the ten thousand things and in the natural world.
  • Residing within you and me, and within the and the causes and effects.

Goodness is Truth; evil is falsehood. Do you understand? Is it clear to you? Or are you still living in confusion, mistaking evil for goodness, and thereby creating and committing errors?

The Shadow of Ignorance and Regret

Perhaps you mistake goodness for evil, missing precious opportunities and feeling regret when the moment has passed. Both goodness and evil remain within the cycle of being reincarnated.

Beyond the Cycle of Reincarnation

Only through Prajna wisdom can this be resolved. , no-mind, and no-thought are the Truth. Naturally, one attains an awakened being!

Walking the Path of Serene Stability

One must rely on virtuous teachers and good friends, walking upon the righteous path without deviation. Only then can one be at peace, free from worry and undisturbed. To truly attain stability is to realise the Truth.

This message was recorded by the chief writer, Buddhist disciple Venerable HaiZe.
