The following teachings were recorded and transcribed by Namo Amituofo’s disciple, Venerable HaiZe, during the noon offering on December 5, 2025. Namo Amituofo offers this discourse to help us understand the nature of reality.

The Eternal Nature of One-ness

The term 'One-ness' signifies that all things are fundamentally the same. It is a state of non-duality, a reflection of the emptiness that is inherently one with our true self. When this emptiness and our true self are manifest, we are no longer subject to the various sufferings of the world; instead, we only receive all happiness. To say that the past and present are one means that they are identical in essence. What is it that remains the same across the past and the present? It is our true self.

The Unchanging Vows of

The hearts and actions of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, as they work to save beings, remain consistent across all time. Even as the world changes, as stars shift, and as space itself transforms, the true self remains eternally unchanged. Even if hundreds, thousands, millions, or billions of years have passed, the vow of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to save beings never wavers. The past has already gone, and the future is yet to be known; therefore, the present moment is the most important thing. You must grasp this moment, make good use of it, and do not let it pass in vain.

Breaking Free from the Illusion of Time

Regardless of how much time has passed or how space has shifted, the essential nature of the true self within all beings remains constant. Once you achieve , you will be able to manifest in countless ways to save beings and to help them break through delusion and attain . Things that once existed but have now vanished are merely illusory; they were never truly there to begin with. Why should you cling to them? Attachment brings suffering, and in the end, it is all empty—you will have nothing. If you cling to the illusion of existence, it is like trying to grasp the moon reflected in the water, hoping that the human body will last forever.

The Path of the Awakened Being

All phenomena are born from causal conditions and will eventually perish when those conditions cease. Various causal conditions, such as emotional entanglements or affinity, are all illusory. You must use this temporary human body to find your eternal true self within this illusion. Those who achieve Awakening and realise their true nature and attain Buddhahood are those who have transcended this. An awakened being is selfless, for it is only through the state of that one can truly realise their true nature. Those who have realised their true nature do not remain in the world for their own benefit, but rather for the sake of all beings.

The Infinite Light of the Western Land

My children, the true self of Namo Amituofo is like this, and your true self is also like this. I hope you will awaken quickly and join me, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, and Practitioner Su in the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre salvation team, to carry out the work of saving beings and guiding them to rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. The words of the Buddhas flow from the true self and are the same in the past and present. They do not change because of time or space. No matter how much time passes, or where you are in this world or others, these words shine with brilliance. They are a manifestation of the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. They are the words that lead you to find your true self and move toward eternal happiness. The lands of the Buddhas, and the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss established by Namo Amituofo, are Buddha-lands created by the true self. Therefore, the vow of Namo Amituofo to save beings will never change. The beings of the Western Land possess infinite light and infinite life. The light of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is boundless, and its life is also boundless; it is a world where infinite light and infinite life are one in the past and the present.
