The Weight of Collective

Practitioner Su, with his boundless , has observed the world during this challenging period of the pandemic. For quite some time, humanity has been gripped by a pervasive sense of panic and profound unease. The daily lives of countless individuals have been disrupted, and people everywhere are anxiously wondering when this crisis will finally come to an end. Nations across the globe have closed their borders, and the most convenient tool for human movement—the aeroplane—has been severely restricted, causing immense disruption to the way we live and interact.

From the perspective of the of Ultimate Bliss, we can clearly perceive the suffering of the people. We feel deep compassion for the hardships that all beings are enduring. However, it must be understood that the karmic consequences of our past actions have not yet been fully exhausted. Although the hearts of the people are filled with fear and panic, the underlying greed and selfishness that drive these karmic cycles have not yet been improved. This pandemic serves as a grave warning to all of humanity.

The Erosion of Ancient Wisdom

Throughout history, traditional education has been the bedrock of human character, yet it is increasingly fading from our modern world. In its place, we see a relentless pursuit of technological development and innovation. While these advancements are impressive, they often come at the cost of our spiritual foundation. We have pushed the wisdom of the ancients to the side, and in many cases, we have cast it into the shadows of our memory. This mutation of the human heart and character is something that every person should deeply reflect upon and investigate.

Practitioner Su, in his wisdom, foresaw this situation long ago. In this age of the ’s decline, there are many who study the Buddha’s teachings, but very few who truly practise them. Most people seek fulfilment through external pursuits rather than through the internal cultivation of their true self. It is only when our desires become overwhelming that we find ourselves trapped in such calamities. Practitioner Su, unable to bear the sight of such suffering, has long hoped that the Buddha’s teachings could truly penetrate the hearts of the people.

A Call for Collective Healing

Relying on the power of his vow, Practitioner Su invited us to participate in resolving the pandemic. The goal is to adjust the negative magnetic field that has gathered due to the collective karma, thoughts, and character of humanity. By allowing pure Goodness to enter and transform this field, we can begin the process of healing. I, Zen Master Zhongfeng, have joined this effort, alongside many respected ancestral masters and various Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who have come to assist.

Together, we are using the immense, righteous energy of the Buddhas to transform the areas most affected by the pandemic. Golden light permeates these spaces, and this transformative power is being continuously pushed forward. Our efforts are also aimed at stabilising the hearts of the people, injecting them with thoughts of Goodness, and helping to ensure that the pandemic between nations can truly begin to subside, thereby reducing the impact of this disaster to the absolute minimum. The entire Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is in sync with this mission.

The Vision of Resumed Connection

During the process of , we are turning the Dharma wheel. Wherever this wheel turns, seeds of Goodness are planted. We hold a special hope that the Australian immigration authorities may become a supportive condition in the resolution of this pandemic. Once international travel resumes, the propagation of the Dharma will become much faster and more convenient, allowing more people to understand the inconceivable nature of the Buddha’s teachings.

As long as one holds a sincere vow, there is nothing that cannot be achieved. To act without the interference of the ego—to act in a state of non-action—is the true expression of a great vow. We must continue to work diligently to save all suffering beings, ensuring that the light of the Dharma reaches every corner of the world.
