A Call to Self-Reflection

My children, I ask you to pause and look deeply within yourselves. Are you truly aware of the suffering that currently burdens your body, mind, and spirit? Through your daily practice, do you possess a heart that is sincerely and urgently seeking to rescue your own spirit from this cycle of suffering?

Furthermore, are you aware of the immense suffering of other sentient beings? As you engage in your practice, you must cultivate a heart of shame and repentance. Is your desire sincere enough to help the suffering beings you have harmed in the past leave their pain behind and attain rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss?

The Path of Compassionate Awakening

You must aspire to achieve success in your practice and realise your true nature as soon as possible. This is not only for your own liberation from suffering; it is so that you may use your own strength to help all sentient beings with karmic affinity leave suffering behind and be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. My children, have you truly given rise to this heart? Is this heart of yours sincere and earnest?

Because you have been confused by the cycle of rebirth and the external environment, you have created much karma. You are bound by the suffering of birth, aging, sickness, and death, and you are entangled by the weight of your own karma. Because of this, you have grown weary of this world. Is your heart truly sincere in seeking liberation through practice and wishing to escape the six realms of rebirth? Is your vow to chant the Buddha-name of Namo Amituofo and be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss truly sincere?

The Unwavering Spirit of Practice

Perhaps you have suffered through various hardships or the pains of aging and illness, and you have travelled far and wide seeking the Dharma, yet you have still not found a way to leave suffering behind. Now that you have arrived at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, whether you are here to practise, to search for a method to resolve your suffering, or to hope for the Awakening that brings an end to all pain, I ask you again: is your heart truly sincere?

A truly sincere heart is one that remains steadfast regardless of the difficulties or tests you may encounter. With such a heart, you will face every challenge and break through every obstacle. You will not run away, and you will not retreat. You will maintain an unshakeable faith in Namo Amituofo and continue to move forward on the path.

The Infinite Power of Sincerity

Only when you possess a sincere heart can you manifest sincere action. When your sincerity is absolute, a single recitation of the Buddha-name can be put to profound use. When your sincerity is absolute, a single recitation of the Buddha-name can save infinite beings. Namo Amituofo.
