The Princess Trapped Within the Fruit
An Interview with the Spirit of a Qi State Princess
Recorded on October 7, 2017

This is a record of an interview with a spirit who had been trapped within the form of an apple. She sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. She reveals her past life as a princess of the Qi State, a life cut short by her own curiosity and a dark, supernatural deception. This account was recorded by the disciple Venerable Fajing on October 7, 2017.
Venerable Fajing speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. I am Venerable Fajing. I have the ability to communicate with spirits. Is there any spirit here who wishes to be interviewed?"
The Spirit of the Apple speaks:
"Me! I am an apple with a spirit. Why do I say I have a spirit? Because I am highly sensitive. As soon as you see me, you can feel that I am speaking to you. Other apples might not give you that feeling, but I am truly different. Let me tell you my story!"
A Royal Life and a Fatal Curiosity
"I was a princess of the Qi State. That is correct, you do not need to doubt it; I truly was a princess from the history of the Qi State in China. I was beautiful, with fair, porcelain skin and delicate features. My father, the Emperor, adored me deeply. My favourite fruit was the apple, which was not easily obtained in those days. Yet, whenever I asked for one, no matter how difficult it was to acquire, my father would ensure I had it. I could have fresh apples every single day, sometimes eating several in a single sitting. Perhaps that is why my skin was so translucent and radiant. Everyone who saw me was filled with envy at my appearance.
"However, I was not an obedient child. Behind the backs of my father and mother, I began to study witchcraft. At the time, I simply thought it was fun, a harmless curiosity. I never imagined that I would become so deeply entangled in the dark arts that I would be unable to escape. I was ensnared by a rival who sought to destroy me. They manifested a bright, red, and delicious-looking apple within my dream. The moment I saw that apple, I lost all reason. I took a single bite, and in that instant, I was pulled into the space within the apple. I never managed to leave that prison again."
A Stolen Life and Eternal Regret
"My physical body was replaced by an imposter. My father and mother had no idea what had happened. They only felt that their daughter’s personality had changed—she became prone to anger and grew arrogant—but otherwise, she seemed the same. It is truly remarkable how fate works. When I saw my father and mother appear here at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, I began to wail uncontrollably. I could not stop the tears from flowing. 'Father, Mother, your daughter is unfilial! I should not have let my curiosity lead me astray. I am so unfilial...'"
Venerable Fajing speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. Princess, now that you have arrived at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, you have the opportunity to regain your human form and find true liberation. I will help you by writing your name on a memorial tablet for deliverance."
