The existence of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is specifically for the purpose of leading all suffering beings from the ten directions to leave suffering behind and enter the realm of ultimate bliss. It is a place where one can attain Buddhahood, finally leaving all suffering behind to obtain ultimate happiness. Beings must have the necessary Dharma affinity to encounter a True Spiritual Friend. This friend will help you to recognise the Pure Land, understand your own problems, and inspire you to develop a heart that is weary of this world and joyful towards the Pure Land. This is the heart and action required to chant the name of Namo Amituofo and be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

A True Spiritual Friend is rare and difficult to find. If you have already found one, and if they are someone who has realised their true nature, possessing both merit and virtue, you must cherish this Dharma affinity.
