This is a record of an interview with George Washington, the first President of the United States, who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon his life approximately 226 years ago. Recorded by Fa Ning, on May 4, 2026.
George Washington speaks:
". Practitioner Su, I am Washington.
I imagine that my name is known to people all over the world, is it not? Even the capital city of the United States bears my name. Yes, I was the first President of the United States. When the nation first declared its independence in the eighteenth century, I was elected unanimously to that office.
However, long before I became president, I was deeply involved in the arduous process of America’s struggle for independence. Looking back now, that path was paved with war and soaked in blood. As I reflect upon it today, I am filled with such profound shame!
For a long time, I suffered through the torments of hell. It was Practitioner Su of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre who, guided by the compassionate power of Namo Amituofo, reached out to pull me from that abyss. I was then settled into the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, a truly magnificent Buddha-land. Only then was I finally able to escape over two hundred years of agony in hell. Those days were unimaginably painful, yet as I look back now, I realise that it was all a consequence of my own actions—I truly deserved my fate.
Everyone calls me a great American president, but has anyone ever stopped to consider the cost? To build a nation’s independence and strength, how much blood must be spilled? How many lives must be sacrificed to reach such a position?
Alas, I am ashamed. I am deeply ashamed. From the moment I began suffering in hell, I have viewed myself only as a sinner. I have never dared to think of myself as a 'great man' ever again.
Future generations of Americans have often held me up as a paragon of character and moral virtue. Heavens! It was only after I truly understood the teachings of the Buddha and reflected on why I was suffering in hell that I suddenly realised the truth. I was wrong—terribly, catastrophically wrong!
My hands were stained with blood. I do not know how many beings became ghosts under my blade because of my decisions. Furthermore, because my policies were tainted by bias, they lacked true equality and brought profound, negative consequences to future generations. They left the American people trapped in the cycle of racial discrimination for centuries. For this, I must bear a heavy burden of responsibility.
Washington was once a Christian, but I was not a truly devout one. To be honest, I never genuinely implemented the teachings of Christianity. Although I regularly participated in church activities and performed the rituals on the surface, deep in my heart, I was acting in direct opposition to the teachings of God and Jesus. Because of my own arrogance, even though I claimed to believe in what they said, I habitually twisted their words and doctrines into opinions I found more acceptable. I injected my own subjective views into them; it was no longer the original teaching of God and Jesus, but rather something I, Washington, had created for myself in their name.
When I first arrived in hell to suffer my retribution, I already knew why. As I lay dying in agony, I was often surrounded by dark shadows that sought revenge against me. Therefore, I understood clearly that my life had been filled with too much killing and too many cruel acts, which is why I was facing such terrifying retribution.
At the very last moment of my life, as I lay gasping for breath, I began to awaken to the fact that my life had contained more evil than good. It is true that for the independence of America, or at least for the white settlers in the Americas, I made a great contribution. But beneath that contribution, I sacrificed countless lives and exploited many people to secure that equality and freedom. It sounds somewhat similar to the position the United States holds in the international arena today.
Sometimes, I feel immense shame and remorse. Did the negative causes I planted back then lead generations of Americans to adopt this same mindset? Of course, the environment I lived in was vastly different from the world two or three hundred years later. It was a chaotic, fractured society, and the environment created a Washington who was great, yet selfish. I will tell you all about it, one by one; it is my way of repenting to you from the bottom of my heart.
Today, what I am most grateful for is Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su. I have been in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss for about twelve years now. Back then, while in hell, I saw a golden light and sensed a voice telling me to chant these six characters: 'Namo Amituofo.' I was told that by doing so, I could escape the sea of suffering and enter the light. Although I did not understand what those six characters meant at the time, I knew that escaping the sea of suffering was the only thing I wanted. So, I shouted at the top of my lungs: 'Namo Amituofo!' Before long, I was brought directly before Practitioner Su.
Practitioner Su compassionately counselled me and recognised that I was George Washington, the first President of the United States. Under his compassionate guidance, I entered the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss of Namo Amituofo. After twelve long years of purification and learning, I have transformed from a Christian into a devout practitioner of the Buddha’s teachings. My journey has been filled with so many reflections, and I have come to understand many truths. I now have a much clearer perception of the environment I lived in and everything I did.
Today, let me tell all Americans, and indeed all people of the world, the important stories and realisations of my life. I hope that by looking at my past, you can also look at yourselves—before you truly understand the Buddha’s teachings, the negative you create is immeasurable and boundless, and this has been the case throughout your many lives!
Therefore, I will tell you honestly: after being reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, I was able to see things much more clearly. I understood the negative karma I created in my life, as well as the various situations I had accumulated over many lifetimes. At that time, I wept bitterly before the Buddha, begging for His forgiveness, knowing that my actions had created heavy karmic obstacles. I hope that by honestly sharing my story with you, I can accumulate a little merit for the beings I have harmed. Namo Amituofo."
These two nations held immense power at the time, each possessing colonial territories and spheres of influence across every corner of the globe. Many people back then referred to this as the world's first large-scale war. The influence of Britain and France expanded across the entire world, and wherever their reach extended, the possibility of conflict followed. This war even spread to the American continent, erupting into many brutal battles.
Ha! It is quite ironic. Here in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I constantly listen to Practitioner Su give talks, explaining that war is never the right path and expressing a strong rejection of it. Hearing this, I feel truly ashamed. Practitioner Su knows that China has experienced countless wars throughout its various dynasties, but to be honest, Practitioner Su, although the United States has only been independent for a little over two hundred years, the wars waged by the various British settlers across the American continent were truly numerous!
When we look at it from the perspective of us white Americans—or rather, the British settlers, the people of Europe and America, and Westerners in general—there is actually a distinct characteristic that sets us apart from the Chinese people.
Although the Chinese people have fought wars throughout their lives, or rather, have seen wars throughout their dynasties, they did not possess an overwhelming ambition to expand their territory across the entire world. From the perspective of Washington, the white people—primarily us Europeans and Americans—actually harboured far greater ambitions than the Chinese. The wars we launched, looking back, were all world wars. There was not a single piece of territory on Earth that we did not desire; if there was an opportunity to seize it, we would still occupy it with great enthusiasm.
Therefore, in the environment I lived in at the time, many underdeveloped countries around the world had long since fallen into the status of colonies for various Western nations, and all of this was viewed by the Europeans of that era as a perfectly common phenomenon.
The British could occupy India, and they could occupy many other countries. The French could occupy many nations in Africa, as well as countries in other regions. The Spanish occupied almost the entirety of South America, and the Portuguese and Germans were no different.
We Europeans were never truly people of benevolence and morality from the very beginning. Every time we went to other countries to wage war and expand our territory, we caused immense devastation to the local people. Many times, we would almost completely exterminate the local populations, massacre entire cities, or bring various infectious diseases to them, leaving them with almost no chance of survival. Or, during the process of land expansion, we would kill those we could, drive away the rest, and burn everything to the ground, leaving them with almost nothing. Consequently, their land would quickly become our territory, and those living within it would be our own kin.
In the environment of that time, everyone lacked proper moral foundations. Everything we thought about was centered on conquest and prioritizing our own interests. Thinking back on it now, it was truly cruel and heartless. I, Washington, did not receive a true moral education growing up, so like everyone else at the time, my thoughts were entirely focused on my own interests, the interests of my nation, and the interests of those around me.
So, one could say that when the Chinese fought, there was still a semblance of morality involved. It was not like us Westerners, who completely disregarded any morality or human rights; as long as something conflicted with our own interests, we were capable of wiping it all out.
In truth, I want to tell everyone about the importance of education. The experience accumulated by one generation after another actually becomes the education received by that generation. If the experience of these generations is primarily negative and centered on selfishness and greed, then a nation will inevitably head toward a selfish and greedy conclusion, leading to an education system guided by selfishness and greed. Such an education laid the foundation for various Western nations for many years, and even in today's United States, one can still see such circumstances.
It is not that many people do not want to change, nor is it that they are truly unaware of the principle that all people are equal; this concept has long been deeply ingrained. But there is always a barbaric nature at work within, believing oneself to be superior to others.
But let us return to the main topic; let Washington continue to tell the story of his life. At the time, I led many troops to break through dangerous situations, and in the end, in the war between Britain and France, the British indeed achieved victory. However, for us Americans, this was not a good thing, because we knew that if we wanted independence, we had to be able to defeat the British who had brought us here.
We were actually of the same root and origin as them, but because we were separated by the ocean, the culture and thoughts that developed over several generations began to diverge, and conflicts of interest arose. Thus, a distinction was made: the British were the British, and the white Americans were the white Americans.
Actually, when I was young, I was very loyal to the British Empire! But it was because I discovered time and time again that the British Empire completely disregarded the interests of us white Americans, treating us as second-class citizens, forcing us to pay exorbitant taxes, forbidding us from expanding our land as we pleased, and engaging in many unreasonable trades with us. There were too many restrictions, leaving us nearly suffocated. Thus, we white Americans began to initiate wars, wanting to resist the British Empire across the sea—and this was the beginning of the series of later independence wars.
The British Empire possessed the world's most advanced weapons and armies, while we white Americans were merely a ragtag group, with no real combat experience, let alone high technology or weapons. But later, we did something extremely clever, which was to cooperate with the French, because what the French hated most at the time was the British. With the cooperation of the French, we were able to successfully resist the British army at the critical moment. The French could also establish their own prestige and status globally; this was killing two birds with one stone.
When we finally achieved victory in the war, I actually felt a sense of weariness—weariness of the days spent with hands stained in blood on the battlefield for so many years. This tension and unease caused a tremendous impact on my heart. Therefore, when I could have almost become the first president of the United States, or rather, when I was pushed by everyone to be king, I quickly stepped down and returned to my old place in the South to continue being a big plantation owner.
But later, although this land of America had become independent, it was like a dragon without a head, and for several years, it remained in an extremely divided state. At that time, the thirteen states on the east side of America had begun to take shape, but there was almost no cooperation or communication between them. Everyone lived their own lives, and it could be said there was no order at all. The country did not look like a country, and the home did not look like a home.
While everyone was arguing endlessly, they remembered that very calm, wise, and thoughtful General Commander—that is, me, George Washington. Thus, everyone invited me to come out of retirement, hoping that I would preside over the overall situation for everyone.
This time, I did indeed do quite well, serving as the first President of the United States for eight years. During my tenure, I united the thirteen states of America, established a powerful central government, and prompted the United States to develop toward the West step by step, which is why it has such a vast scale and territory today.
There are many things among these that I once took pride in, but speaking of them now, I feel truly ashamed. I, Washington, do not want to mention them again—this is not because I do not admit my mistakes, but because in these countless wars, it was almost always the same old story: either you die or I live, if you are defeated, then I am strong. What is there to continue saying about that?
However, I must also deeply reflect on the several major mistakes I committed. After I arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, looking back at all of this, seeing many still in the space, waiting for me to obtain a human body so they can take revenge, I suddenly realized that the spiritual realms are truly indestructible. They were not free from suffering just because I killed them; after being killed by me, they have been suffering in the space all along. Some have even fallen into the hells due to extreme hatred. I am so ashamed!
At the time, as a Christian, I did not understand the principle that spirits are indestructible, nor did I have much exploration into where people go after death. Therefore, I used any means necessary to achieve my goals; for the sake of expanding territory and promoting national unity, my hands were stained with blood. The number of lives involved behind that is truly in the hundreds of thousands, even millions—it is immeasurable!
Namo Amituofo. I truly cannot return to the human world again. I am still working hard in my diligent practice, hoping that one day I can attain Buddhahood soon. Otherwise, how can so many beings connected to me by karmic affinity leave suffering behind, no longer drifting in the void, and no longer living such repressed lives?
Now, let me speak about the biggest stain of my life. I want to repent, and I must act in time, because these beings are still suffering. I also sincerely hope that they can soon hear the news that the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre abides in Namo Amituofo, and have the opportunity to come to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia as spirits to seek .
I hope that this message I convey can attract some suffering beings who have karmic affinity to come here, especially my karmic creditors. If this confession of mine can reach their ears and help them, it will provide a little comfort to my heart.
People often think about the American war of independence as a very great event, or they think that I, Washington, had such a clear and calm mind to lead everyone toward the path of independence, which is also a very great thing. Moreover, after obtaining power, I did not cling to it and was able to step down, returning to my original life. When people hoped that I would continue to serve as the third president, I firmly refused, because I knew that too much power would only lead to corruption, and this also established the system where a US president can serve at most two terms. In the eyes of future generations, these things have made me stand out with very great and glorious characteristics and images. Namo Amituofo.
"However, I know in my heart that I have truly owed far too much. Especially to the Native Americans, I am deeply, deeply sorry. They were, in fact, the true masters of the American land. On this vast territory, they were the original inhabitants, the indigenous people. Yet, ever since Westerners from Europe began expanding their reach here, they have never known a day of peace. The destruction wrought upon them, particularly by the British and later by the Americans, is beyond imagination.
At the time, in order to expand the borders of the United States, I led my armies marching westward. To ensure the integrity of our territory and to secure more resources and land for my own people—the white Americans—I did not hesitate to command my generals to enter the regions inhabited by the indigenous people, engaging in slaughter, plunder, and total extermination.
I forcibly seized their lands. If they refused to yield, I had their villages and food supplies burned to the ground, leaving them to starve or freeze to death. When they dared to defy my orders, I ordered large-scale massacres against them.
In short, to the indigenous people of that time, the name 'Washington' was synonymous with bone-deep hatred. Anyone who heard my name would tremble in fear, as if it meant the 'murderous demon' had arrived once again. Indeed, in their eyes, I was nothing more than a murderous demon.
I now honestly admit my mindset at the time. It is not that I had any particular interest in killing, but I had come to view their lives as far inferior to those of white people. If I trace this to the root, it was the influence of the white-centric education I received. This concept was deeply ingrained in my heart for decades. The prejudice of 'white supremacy' was so powerful within me that it seemed like an absolute reality—I even treated it as if it were a universal principle, the Truth, and the Right Way.
I truly lacked and empathy. Regarding the suffering they endured, I was cold-blooded, feeling absolutely nothing, believing that everything I did was justified. This is a major reason why I fell into the hells to suffer such extreme torment, even descending into the Avici Hell.
What makes me feel most ashamed is that, as the first president of the United States, I set a precedent that it was acceptable to kill Native Americans at will for the sake of territorial expansion. Because of this, many subsequent presidents followed my example—whenever the Native Americans did not submit, they would launch wars to exterminate them in order to seize their land and resources. I pioneered this path, and for committing such a grave error, I am truly, deeply ashamed.
Beyond my treatment of the Native Americans, I acted the same way toward the black slaves brought from Africa.
Because my family lived in prosperity, when I inherited my father's estate, I also inherited over a hundred black slaves. These slaves were registered under my name and were at my beck and call; they were, in essence, my private property. After I married, our family business flourished even more, and I purchased even more black slaves, with the number in my household reaching three to five hundred at one point. In the social context of that time, black people could be bought and sold like commodities in the marketplace.
At that time, they had to obey my orders absolutely, and those who resisted were subjected to severe torture. Even when they worked slowly or failed to meet my requirements, I could not control my temper and would resort to brutal, inhumane methods such as beating and whipping them.
This was a very common phenomenon in society at the time. White Americans, blinded by profound ignorance and arrogance, believed that black people were born as second-class citizens meant to serve white people, even viewing them as no better than animals. Ironically, the pets in my household often held a higher status and received far better treatment than the black slaves.
In a situation of extreme inequality between people, the impact on society was immense. Although some people at the time advocated for equality and the abolition of slavery, and as the head of state, I appeared to support the liberation of slaves and even founded the nation in the name of equality, in private, I never did so. I kept them tightly under my control.
My dear Americans, more than two hundred years have passed. Do you still hold these erroneous concepts today? Looking out at America now, I see that unequal treatment and psychological discrimination between white and black people still exist, and conflicts occur frequently. I feel deep repentance and shame! As the first president, I am partly responsible for not immediately stopping such things from happening. Furthermore, as a role model for the public, not only did I fail to curb it, but I also actively promoted the system of black slavery in private to satisfy my own greed. For this, I cannot shirk my responsibility.
Therefore, as the head of state and a successor to this system, my actions were incredibly cruel. While the influence on future generations cannot be blamed entirely on Washington alone, as the first president, I am certainly blameworthy and cannot escape my responsibility. What chills my heart today is that people generally lack moral education, which causes them to lose their true compassion. Or perhaps, the compassion originally present in everyone's true self has long been extinguished by the education received in their family environments.
This psychology of inequality is a root cause planted in many children from a very young age. Even when they understand later in life that the system of black slavery was untenable, or that the principle of human equality is correct, they still cannot shake off that initial polluted state of mind; they cannot find purification.
Although I enjoyed countless glories in my life and won the applause of the masses, I would often dream in the dead of night of dark, oppressive armies pressing down upon me, leaving me unable to breathe. After I turned sixty, my body began to fail. Many seemingly minor ailments would leave me bedridden and in great pain.
In my later years, I could no longer be the master of my own fate. Falling into war again and again, or initiating wars, caused my spirit to be dragged into the hells repeatedly to suffer, leaving only this 'true self' trapped within my body, unable to see the light of day. Thus, my chronic illness in old age was inevitable. Less than two years after I retired from the presidency, I left the human world.
When I returned home, although I wanted to live a quiet retirement, my karmic creditors would not let me go. My entire body was filled with pain; there was almost no part of me that was not being sought for revenge by these karmic creditors.
Looking back at that time, it was truly terrifying. Although I had a tall, six-foot-three frame, this body carried an immeasurable number of soldiers and horses. Among them were countless beings who wanted to gnaw on my bones and drink my blood, wailing bitterly as they demanded my life.
The many shadows that flashed before me and the agony of those nights made me realize that I had indeed created countless negative karma in my life. Although I had no teachings of the Buddha at the time, I realized that the problems in my body were all brought about by my own actions.
Therefore, before I died, I made a decision that I had been unable to make throughout my life: a spark of shame arose in my heart, and I hoped that after my wife and I passed away, my family would liberate all the black slaves in our household to make amends for the evil deeds I had committed against them. But it was all too late; the negative karma I had created could not be undone.
After death, I went to the Avici Hell to suffer immense torment. Sometimes it was as if I were on a mountain of knives, where countless sharp blades pierced my entire body until I died. When I woke up, the stabbing continued, and I would fall into a pool of blood again. When the wind blew, I would wake up once more to endure the torture, repeating this cycle without end. Sometimes I was thrown into a cauldron of boiling oil, where my skin was torn apart and I wailed in agony. Sometimes I was struck by a massive whip; a single strike caused me extreme pain, let alone dozens or hundreds of such strikes. My whole body was beaten to a pulp, yet I could not die, constantly suffering. This was exactly how I had treated other beings, which made me deeply realize how terrifying the tortures I had inflicted were!
The suffering in hell is endless. It was truly a case of 'calling to the heavens with no response, and calling to the earth with no answer.' In hell, I began to reflect on my mistakes, knowing that I had been wrong many times. When suffering immense pain, I would cry out: 'Help me! I know I’m wrong!' I would constantly emit the same wails and cries, hoping that God or Jesus would come to save me, to see this heart of repentance I had developed, and to let me end my suffering in hell early.
However, God or Jesus never appeared. I knew I had to repay all of this, and I did not blame Them. Although I would emit the same cry every time, even the jailers of hell tried to counsel me, hoping that I would truly and sincerely repent and admit my faults, rather than just wishing to escape hell early.
After I was brought up from hell, I was, as mentioned earlier, taken by the hand by Practitioner Su. After she led me to chant 'Namo Amituofo,' I was sent into the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. The lotus pedestals calmed my heart immediately. Although I did not know the reason at the time, nor did I understand the meaning of 'Namo Amituofo,' the moment I saw the Buddha, I knew that He must be the one who saves the world—the true Saviour."
Namo Amituofo.
"I am not certain if that was my God, but later the Buddha told me: 'Children are also Buddhas; every single person is a Buddha. Chanting Namo Amituofo is also to allow the children to attain Buddhahood sooner.' I listened, understanding only partially. It turned out that the concept of 'Buddha' is so vast—that everyone can become a Buddha, rather than just one person being the only God. As I gradually came to understand this principle, I began to develop a profound interest in the Buddha’s teachings, for this was something I, Washington, had never heard of while I was alive in the world. At first, I felt it was absurd, but as I continued to listen, I became filled with Dharma . I realised that the Buddha’s teachings are so vast and so broad that my heart opened up very quickly!
Throughout my life, I was a Christian, but I did not truly follow what Christ or God said. If I had truly followed those teachings, I would not have been such a cruel, heartless person who did not value equality. For in Jesus' heart, there is equality and boundless love for all beings. Yet, I did the exact opposite of what God and Jesus taught; everything I did was still based on the interests of myself and my own people. It was far removed from everything Jesus said and everything written in the Bible.
Now that I have learned the teachings of the Dharma, I have discovered that the Buddha can help us. Because there is such a magnificent Buddha-land—the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss—beings can be purified and receive true benefits of the Dharma after arriving here. I finally understood that it is not the case that one must seek out or rely on others to achieve success; in the end, everything must return to one's own heart.
I used to think that as long as I had God and Jesus in my heart, I could return to their Heaven, and that my own actions were unimportant. Only now do I know that relying solely on their power is not enough. If my heart is not sincere and grounded, and I have done things that contradict everything said in the Bible, how could I possibly return to God's home?
The Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is different. I am here now because I suffered through horrific tortures in the hells and learned to repent. It is only because of the fact that Practitioner Su has come to the human world and realised one's true nature and attained Buddhahood that so many spaces can be opened, allowing for Chao Du with Namo Amituofo, giving everyone a chance to leave suffering behind and gain happiness.
It turns out that one can attain Buddhahood right here in the human world, and once one has become a Buddha, one can do so many good deeds to help so many beings. This reality leaves Washington filled with endless admiration for Practitioner Su. We both possess a human body, yet there is such a vast difference. Practitioner Su has utilised this human body to its absolute limit, completely disregarding his own physical form and focusing entirely on all beings. I am truly in awe of such a spirit, for when I was in the human world, I never encountered such a sage—a truly great sage.
Everything I came into contact with, and all those whom people called 'great men,' were in fact people who would kill without blinking an eye. Even though the world honours me as the Founding Father of the United States, bestowing upon me the highest reverence, building countless memorials and monuments, and even naming the nation's capital after me, granting me all sorts of supreme honours—my body was still suffering in hellish tortures, and no one knew.
All of this is truly absurd. The 'great men' respected by the human world are all suffering in the hells. This precisely shows that the definition people have for a 'great man' is itself an extremely strange thing.
Because people do not understand the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, they mistake the wrong for the right and paint black as white; that is why such situations occur. Because everyone does not understand the true Buddha’s teachings and does not know that one cannot be selfish or think only of oneself, they create negative karma, causing many people with different ideologies and backgrounds to suffer deeply. And what is even more terrifying is that the suffering they inflict today will eventually be visited upon themselves in the future. In this way, throughout your many lives, this cycle of is truly endless!
It is evident that wars in history, regardless of which country they occurred in, have not ceased for thousands of years. Sometimes war breaks out, and sometimes there is a golden age. For thousands of years, this has been the case in many parts of the world because this debt of cause and effect has never been eliminated. Everyone lives in a state of 'either you die or I live,' leading lives of competition and struggle.
Practitioner Su, do you think I am right? This is not just happening in China. Practitioner Su, the wars in Europe are truly terrifying! Everyone possesses advanced weapons with great destructive power, and they show no mercy in attacking any weak country in the world, exterminating the local people, and even almost completely wiping out their cultures and ethnicities. These are things that happen all the time!
Washington was born in that era and saw it very clearly; now, in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I see it even more clearly. Only now do I know that it is a terrifying thing for humans to create negative karma. Whether it is education on the laws of karma and cause and effect or Buddhist education, if these are lacking, it will only allow generation after generation of people to continue to degenerate and continue to create negative karma by stepping on the shoulders of others.
Therefore, when Washington sees the various situations in the United States today, I feel deeply ashamed. The current President of the United States still uses very tyrannical methods all over the world to try to consolidate his position as a hegemon. Thus, when other countries become objects of his suspicion, or cause him some dissatisfaction, or affect his expansion of interests, the President can drop bombs on other countries and launch wars at any time.
And today, the most terrifying aspect of war is not just physical warfare. Since the terms of these recent American presidents, I can see that although everyone seems to be at peace on the surface—not causing too much impact on other countries, not launching too many wars, and not sending troops there for large-scale slaughter—the technology today is too advanced.
The methods that the American President or Western countries led by the United States can adopt are to drop countless bombs on these countries whose interests they feel are damaged, or which conflict with their concepts, or which make them suspicious, using drones to carry out massive destruction on these nations.
Many bombs are dropped into these countries without clear targets, directly hitting civilian communities, schools, or hospitals; such situations are everywhere. Many innocent civilians have lost their lives because of this. We know very little about this, and many people do not pay real attention to it, but this is the truth. This kind of secret killing is even more terrifying than blatant, open killing.
The reason Americans can be so insane and do these things as if nothing happened, and even be revered by the American people as idols and great men, is because of the ignorance within everyone's hearts and the inherent lack of equality, which has created such a situation.
Washington feels ashamed and repentant, knowing that I did wrong. I also hope that through my experience of having fallen into hell to suffer torture, the world can believe what I say and reflect upon it. Please, do not follow my old path of killing so many people. Even though I have now reached the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, those sins have not been repaid at all. How many beings are still in pain? Whenever I think of this, my heart still feels immense sorrow and immense repentance.
In the twelve years that Washington has been in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I have been purified so much and have seen through so many things; I am no longer the Washington who killed like a demon. Now I can see that the world is still plagued by frequent wars and people are living in misery. Many people living in big cities with abundant lives may not feel it, but there are still too many people suffering. Washington knows that the karma I created at that time had a deep and far-reaching impact, influencing one of the world's leading powers to reach the state it is in today, and subsequently affecting many people in the world. These various instances of Collective Karma are things I must bear.
But at the same time, I look at the human world with full hope. The rise of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia is because Namo Amituofo truly resides in the human world, which is why so many miracles have occurred. Just as President Jimmy Carter, who was interviewed previously, also spoke about the contributions of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to humanity—such as Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su leading the masses to calm the COVID-19 pandemic together, or praying for rain for Australia and Taiwan—these various good deeds are things Practitioner Su has been doing for the human world; it is just that humanity does not know it.
Today, people controlled by demon crowds are everywhere on Earth; it is only a matter of the degree of influence. Washington was the same back then. Every time a thought of greed or selfishness arose, countless demon crowds would attach themselves to me, influencing me to continue the next mission with even more brutal means. As the years went by, the negative karma created grew larger and larger. These demon crowds, like me, must all face the judgment of the laws of karma and cause and effect; they used my body to do evil, and we both must suffer the consequences together.
Of course, this is also because my own thoughts attracted the demon crowds; I cannot blame the demon crowds entirely. I can see with my own eyes from the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss that the number of demon crowds existing in major American government agencies or important locations in major American cities, such as Wall Street in New York, is truly too many to count.
In the spiritual world that cannot be seen by the physical eyes, one can see that in these important places, the demon crowds are layered upon one another. The White House is like this, and the administrative centres of Washington are like this, and even more so for the underground operations and secret actions carried out by many major American institutions.
The demon crowds gather in these places, influencing the direction of people all over the world. The demon crowds want to destroy the planet and destroy all of humanity, and they often like to target these leaders in the United States because they possess supreme power in the world and can coordinate many resources, energy, and personnel. Therefore, the wars they launch are the most widespread and have the greatest destructive power." Namo Amituofo.
"It is an undeniable fact that any top-tier superpower, once it initiates a war, can trigger global destruction at any moment. While no nation might explicitly set out to cause such an apocalypse, if the inner anger of a president is ignited, they will still, for the sake of their own private interests and selfish desires, wage horrific wars against smaller nations. They will leave the capitals of other countries in a state of total paralysis and collapse.
Such methods are truly heinous, yet in the context of American history, they have been all too common. I, Washington, feel profound remorse once again; I bear the responsibility! By following the spirit of the times, I planted such ideologies deep within the hearts of the American people. In the minds of Americans, my status as president is incredibly high—one could say I am viewed as a near-perfect leader. But I truly did wrong, leading everyone down such a path without even realising it.
Today, I, Washington, wish to 'reshuffle the deck' in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, just as Practitioner Su has described. I am following in the footsteps of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, engaging in diligent practice and walking the path of cultivation with a grounded heart.
I hope this interview allows everyone to clearly understand that one must never harbour selfishness in their heart. You must never do anything that causes harm to others for your own personal gain. Such actions will only lead you, step by step, into a realm controlled by demon crowds, and eventually, into the abyss of the hells, where you will suffer as intensely as I have.
Everyone must believe in the true principles; the evidence laid out before your eyes is real. The Buddha’s teachings are not the superstition that many imagine, nor are they merely an Eastern traditional religion. This is a profound Wisdom; it is the true Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, telling everyone the difference between true Goodness and evil, between black and white.
A Buddha is one who has truly penetrated all these truths. That is why the Buddha has shared all of this with us, hoping that we, too, can walk the path to become a Buddha just like Him. This is the aspect of the Buddha’s teachings that I, Washington, admire the most. All the evil in my life must serve as a warning to the world. Please, I implore you, do not continue to view me as your superior, highly revered president. If you do, how can I ever repay my sins? Those whom I have harmed and killed—how can they bear such a fate?
If there are any Americans who are willing to believe my words, who are willing to learn the Buddha’s teachings, and who are willing to recognise Namo Amituofo, who abides at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Center, then you must make a trip to the temple. Come here and witness the true 'high technology' of the spirit; this is a genuine opportunity for your spirit to be elevated. Only by truly drawing close to the Buddha or —to true Buddhas like Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su—can you find a way to achieve true spiritual elevation and help all beings.
I am filled with gratitude to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su. Thank you, everyone!
Namo Amituofo.
