During the first session of the , Shakyamuni Buddha appeared upon a golden lotus, radiating a magnificent golden light. This light illuminated the Buddha-land, carrying a message directly to the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre.

The Echo of the Golden Lotus

Shakyamuni Buddha began His teachings by reflecting on the passage of time. He noted that while a thousand years may seem like a fleeting moment, the transmission of the remains a vital, ongoing mission. In this current Dharma-ending age, the Buddha’s teachings have branched into many different paths. Each path claims to be unique, yet many have strayed from the direct route to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. The only true path is the one that leads directly to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

Many people study the Dharma and listen to lectures, yet they fail to recognise the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss as their true destination. Those who hold firm to their faith will reach the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, but those who cling to the paths of the ghost realm or fall into the Three Evil Realms will only experience further suffering. It is essential for all practitioners to ground themselves in the three pillars of the Pure Land school: Faith, Vows, and Practice.

Navigating the Currents of the Dharma-Ending Age

The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre has been established as a sanctuary where these teachings are upheld. With the support of the Dharma protectors and the presence of the Buddha’s guidance, the Centre stands as a beacon of the True Teachings. The Buddha emphasised that the Centre must be a place of strict discipline and . Whether one is a monastic or a lay practitioner, all must embody the and greet every being with a heart of great compassion. In this age of confusion, the Centre serves as a vital anchor. If the monastics and the do not uphold the purity of the Dharma, they risk falling into the cycle of suffering. Therefore, every step taken within the temple must be one of vigilance and sincerity.

The Buddha warned that while malevolent forces may attempt to disrupt the mission, the clarity of the heart and the strength of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre will serve as a shield. Practitioners must remain focused and not be swayed by external disturbances. The focus must remain on the mission of the temple, ensuring that the True Teachings are preserved and propagated for the benefit of all sentient beings.

The Radiance of Purity in Conduct and Attire

Shakyamuni Buddha provided specific guidance regarding the appearance and conduct of those at the Centre. He spoke of the white Haiqing, a symbol of the purity that must exist both within the heart and on the outside. This white attire represents a clear, untainted spirit. Lay practitioners should wear the white Haiqing when performing their duties in the main hall, as it reflects the purity of their original nature. This is not merely a matter of clothing, but a manifestation of one’s inner state—a reminder to remain focused and never again fall into the confusion of the material world. Practitioner Su shall assist in guiding these matters, ensuring that the future of the temple remains strong and purposeful.

The Buddha also spoke of the importance of inviting virtuous teachers, such as Venerable Master Chin Kung, to share the Dharma, noting that it is difficult to achieve great results when working in isolation. By uniting, the community can effectively spread the True Teachings and help countless beings leave suffering behind. The future of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is inconceivable, and every practitioner must walk this path with a steady, determined heart.

A Harmonious Assembly for the Future

As the message concluded, the Buddha reminded all present that the ultimate goal is to return to the Land of Namo Amituofo—a place of eternal, pure bliss. The disciples expressed their deepest gratitude for the Buddha’s great compassion, vowing to dedicate their lives to this noble mission. The Buddha’s final instruction was a call to return to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, where all beings may find true liberation.

The disciples replied: "We are deeply grateful for the great compassion of the Buddha. We, the assembly of disciples, will surely do our utmost to practise these teachings. Namo Amituofo."
