The Salvation Team and the Protection of the True Teachings
An Interview with Sangharama Bodhisattva on Practitioner Su’s Mission
Recorded on the 7th of December, 2020

The Guardian’s Vow
I am the protector, Sangharama . Ever since Practitioner Su began his sincere and diligent practice on the Buddha’s path, I have remained by his side to offer my protection. When the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre was first established—then known as the Hsiang Kuang Buddha-Recitation Hall—many lay practitioners gathered to support Practitioner Su, ensuring that the Wheel of the Dharma turned in the right direction. Even then, as I listened to Practitioner Su deliver his Dharma talks, I knew that the future of this centre would be truly inconceivable.
From Legend to
In folk legends and traditional Taoist accounts, I am often depicted with a crimson face and a majestic, imposing appearance. I am described as a loyal and righteous minister, forever wielding my crescent-moon blade. According to the legends of my past, after I had passed through five gates and slain six generals, I eventually met my end, losing my head and suffering the agony of separation between my head and body. In that state of confusion, I wandered, searching for my lost head. I encountered a practitioner and began to circle them, crying out, "Return my head to me! Return my head to me!"
That practitioner, seeing my tragic plight, explained the laws of and cause and effect to me. It was then that I finally understood how many lives I had taken when I was a general. My decapitation was merely the manifestation of those evil consequences. How fortunate I was to encounter Practitioner Su. The transformation of the Hsiang Kuang Buddha-Recitation Hall into the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is a change that fills one with awe. Practitioner Su diligently performs every single day to save sentient beings. His mind-capacity is as vast as the ocean, as vast as the Buddha’s own. Because he is willing to deliver immeasurable and boundless beings, he has attracted many spirits driven by greed. They even went so far as to sever the tendons in Practitioner Su’s feet—an event unprecedented in the history of Buddhism. Yet, Practitioner Su did not stop his work of deliverance for even a moment. His thoughts are always with sentient beings. In this entire universe, only Practitioner Su possesses such a vast mind-capacity and such unwavering conduct. His compassionate character moved Namo Amituofo to arrive, and at that very moment, Namo Amituofo truly abides at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre.
The Weight of Salvation
The responsibility is immense. Practitioner Su must endure the suffering of all beings within his own physical body while continuing to lead the Dharma assemblies at the temple. He does not allow the pain of his physical form to halt his work; the Dharma assemblies continue as scheduled. At that time, Sangharama and Skanda Bodhisattva provided full protection, and the assemblies moved countless spirits. Since then, every single Dharma assembly has been attended by countless, immeasurable spirits seeking Spiritual Deliverance. From the time we averted the predicted end of the world in 2012, we have moved on to deliver important leaders, famous figures, and indeed all things in the universe—the flowers, the trees, the mountains, and the rivers—all are the objects of Practitioner Su’s deliverance.
With each session, he accumulates more merit, helping the fourfold assembly of disciples reach sooner. By finding their own , they too can help more beings and possess greater power for deliverance. This work has even transformed the demon crowds. From the first Demon King, Mara, to the current Universe Bodhisattvas, Milky Way Bodhisattvas, and new Buddha-children, all now possess powerful strength and high spiritual sensitivity. Their previous state was merely a slight deviation. After hearing Practitioner Su’s Dharma talks, they finally understood what it means to be awakened and not confused, righteous and not evil, pure and not defiled. Those who were once called demon crowds fell into such states only because their characters were clouded and they could not distinguish between right and wrong, thus failing to reach the righteous path. I, Sangharama, deeply respect the righteous energy of Practitioner Su. This energy is identical to the righteousness I held as Guan Yu before I left the worldly realm; therefore, my respect for Practitioner Su is profound.
The Healing of the Dharma Body
This time, due to the causal conditions of praying for rain, the space containing the smallest sentient beings—the tiny crawling creatures—was opened. Many of these beings sought deliverance, but because they have existed for hundreds, thousands, or even ten thousand years and have heard so little of the Dharma, they remain in a state of deep . As they emerged, they inadvertently caused injury to Practitioner Su. Now, I, along with the Universe Bodhisattvas, the Milky Way Bodhisattvas, and the new Buddha-children, are using a "fifty-trillion-fold vacuum" to attend to every single cell in Practitioner Su’s body. We are working diligently to protect him. The outer perimeter is guarded by us, the Dharma protectors and new Buddha-children, while the inner perimeter is also secured by Dharma protectors, Universe Bodhisattvas, Milky Way Bodhisattvas, and new Buddha-children.
For the tiny creatures still attached to his cells, I manifest in countless billions of forms. My goal is to restore Practitioner Su’s cells while simultaneously absorbing these tiny beings and repairing the damage. Even as his cells are under attack, they continue to emit a brilliant light—how truly compassionate! As I watch from the side, I am moved to say that this is something no ordinary person could endure; only a Buddha could do this. Even as his cells are invaded, bleeding, oozing, smoking, and burning, Practitioner Su still thinks only of saving the world. With his vast Wisdom, he uses this "vacuum method" to help these tiny beings, preventing them from continuing to create evil and stopping them from causing further harm.
A Call to Cherish the Path
I share a deep causal connection with Practitioner Su. I am grateful for the opportunity he has given me, and I pray that when the day comes to return to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, Practitioner Su will allow me to follow him. The fourfold assembly of disciples at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia must cherish and grasp this opportunity. Every word and action of Practitioner Su, and every method he uses to demonstrate the Dharma, is a teaching of Awakening. I thank Practitioner Su for his , his mind-capacity, and his Wisdom. He teaches us to correct our own character. As Practitioner Su has said, one should not be attached to any person, but should instead engage in true, practical, and grounded practice. Only then will there be a day of Awakening.
