This is a record of an interview with the spirit of Nüwa, who sought at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. She now resides in the Western Land of Nature. This account reflects upon her life approximately 6,500 years ago. Recorded by the chief writer, Shi Faru, on March 8, 2026.

Nüwa speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am deeply grateful to Namo Amituofo and to Practitioner Su for performing the Chao Du that saved me, allowing me this precious opportunity to be interviewed. I am Nüwa.

The long, winding river of Chinese history actually began far earlier than five thousand years ago. While I am celebrated by later generations under the name 'Nüwa'—a name often shrouded in the colours of mythology—I am, in truth, merely a sentient being within the six realms of rebirth. I am not the magical, supernatural figure that later legends describe. At the dawn of creation, when the world was still in a state of chaos, I lived as a human being on this earth. To be honest, the living conditions back then were far from easy. For the region we now call China, it was a vast, untamed wilderness.

Beyond the Myth: A Life in the Wild

In reality, the development of civilisation on Earth has seen many cycles of rise and fall across different regions. Six thousand years ago, in the lands of China, I was a primitive human struggling to survive and cultivate the wild earth. The reason my story has been passed down through the ages, and why the name 'Nüwa' is known to posterity, is entirely due to the labels bestowed upon me by later historical researchers.

I did not go by the name 'Nüwa' during my lifetime, and even this surname was something later generations deduced through archaeological study. In an era before the development of written language, most communication was carried out through intent, simple sounds, and gestures; there were no other methods available. Life was incredibly simple, and the people themselves were remarkably pure. The most vital task we faced every single day was survival: how to ensure a sufficient supply of food and water, how to forage for edible plants in the wild, and how to stay alive while surrounded by fierce beasts, venomous snakes, and countless other threats that were far stronger and more dangerous than we were. That was what we had to focus all our energy on.

The True Nature of Survival

As a woman of that era, the reason I became a figure of legend—known to all—is partly because later generations projected their own interpretations onto the history of human evolution. They took historical events and embellished them with their own guesses, attaching them to the name of Nüwa. Yet, Nüwa was never as mythical as the stories suggest. The only difference between us and modern people is that, because our thoughts were simple and our lives were plain, we were free from the pollution of modern technology. Furthermore, because survival was so difficult, we had few desires or cravings; we simply wanted to live. Our minds were far less cluttered than those of modern people; one could even say we had no complex thoughts at all.

Most of the things we had to deal with were basic necessities: foraging, crafting stone tools, and finding shelter from the wind, rain, insects, and wild animals. We did not rely on complex reasoning or deep intellectual processes; instead, we relied on our innate, natural sensory abilities. At that time, people generally possessed a basic capacity to observe nature and communicate with it. We could commune with the spirits of the earth, the spirits in the air, and even the spirits of the heavens, the stars, the clouds, and the creatures of the wild. Those spirits with whom we shared a karmic affinity—a good connection—would be willing to help us avoid disasters, or guide our tribes to places with abundant water and safe living conditions. Possessing these natural communication skills and using them to seek good fortune and avoid calamity was the fundamental law of survival in that era.

The Truth Behind the Legends

In those days, our technology was not as advanced as it is today. Humans lacked the physical strength, speed, and other natural advantages of the fierce beasts. To survive, we used simple tools to compensate. However, when faced with the harsh tests of the natural environment, the tools we developed were far from sufficient. To truly lead a tribe to survival, one had to rely on the highest level of sensitivity. Only by having this heightened awareness could one provide the most accurate guidance to the entire village or clan, allowing them to navigate through disasters safely. This is why the identity of Nüwa, as it was passed down through history, became imbued with this aura of 'averting disaster.' Nüwa became a symbol of a heavenly deity, a protector who could ensure the survival of humanity.

In the most famous historical allusions and literary works passed down by later generations, Nüwa is depicted as the creator of humanity and the one who 'mended the sky' with stones. Yet, behind these myths, while the reality was not as exaggerated as the legends suggest, it was not entirely without foundation. Nüwa 'creating humans' refers to my efforts to maintain the survival of the people, enabling them to continue their lives on the wild lands of China—this is the root of the legend of Nüwa creating man. As for 'Nüwa mending the sky' with 'Nüwa stones,' this refers to the stone-crafting and masonry techniques of that time. In the wilderness, finding stones that were both usable and easy to work with was not easy. But I could use my sensitivity to locate mineral veins in rugged terrain where the ore was exposed, easy to mine, and rich in high-purity metal components. These stones made our tools more durable and sharper, making them much more convenient to use. This is the historical origin of the 'Nüwa stones' and the 'mending of the sky.'"

At the end of every civilization, the people in the region of China inevitably fall into this same pattern. The cycle repeats itself so frequently that it has become an established loop. We, the guardian spirits, are deeply aware of all this, and we always hope to provide assistance wherever we can be of help. However, as people drift further and further away from purity and Goodness, and further away from being clean and untainted, their mental notes become filled with selfishness, competition, and conflict. The demon crowds they attract as a result become increasingly difficult for the ancient guardian spirits and ancestral spirits of China to communicate with.

The Illusion of Myth

In the heavenly realms, Nüwa often seeks out suitable individuals to transmit correct mental notes. Yet, the mental notes and messages received are merely treated as mythological existences or illusions within various forms of entertainment. No one truly understands the essence of purity and Goodness, nor can they comprehend the simple character of the early days.

Although many figures have appeared throughout Chinese history who could have brought about change, the vast majority of the Chinese people, at every stage, eventually return to the path of selfishness, competition, and conflict. This is a natural manifestation within the universe. Nevertheless, Nüwa has not given up; I am always waiting for an opportunity to connect with those who can receive these messages and provide timely assistance. This is not just true for Nüwa; it is the same for the heavenly realms, the earth, and guardian spirits everywhere. Whenever there is a chance to convey this to the people in the Chinese region, everyone spares no effort to do so.

The Truth Behind the Cycle

If it were not for Practitioner Su’s Chao Du of the five thousand years of Chinese historical space—even breaking through more than six thousand years—I would not have had the opportunity to be invited into the Dharma-Nature Land, nor would I have had the chance to tell the people of China today the truth of these facts. In reality, we are all sentient beings within the six realms of rebirth. There is no need to harbor such complex thoughts and schemes for the sake of a single era, a short period of time, or a brief life; this is detrimental to one's spirituality.

From my space in the heavenly realms, I see it very clearly: whenever people’s thoughts become complex, selfish, and driven by private desires, the magnetic field within their bodies becomes extremely chaotic. This chaotic magnetic field resonates with the Demon Realm, immediately attracting demon crowds from all corners of the universe and the earth into their bodies. This is not just something that has happened within these five thousand years; it was the same in several of the ancient civilizations of China. This means that every time the Chinese people once again use complex mental notes to attract demon crowds, the complex demon crowds from the previous civilization era strike again. The difference between them and the demon crowds in other regions is that they are already very familiar with and accustomed to this process. From the rise and fall of various civilizations, they have precisely mastered how to manipulate the human heart and how to effectively lead the Chinese people toward the beginning of their next decline. They are always doing what they want to do; some enjoy the process of rise and fall, just like watching an epic story or film; some want to experience these survival changes and journeys; and others satisfy the desires they can obtain through human bodies. For various reasons, they are adept at manipulating humans during periods of decline.

Therefore, only by reducing these thoughts and ruminations can one truly break free from the control of these demon crowds.

The Struggle of the Pure-Hearted

Nüwa and many guardian spirits in the heavenly realms are constantly spreading this concept in various fields and among those with simpler characters. But the feedback is often that these simple and kind-hearted people are always suppressed by the demon crowds. In this environment where the majority of society worships competition, conflict, and rapid change, they are difficult to be recognized and are generally labeled as losers, and thus are not respected by the general public. However, these people with simple characters are the ones who can truly resonate and align with China’s long-standing traditional culture and inherent Goodness.

The story of Nüwa is long-standing, yet the true stories of Nüwa mending the sky, guarding the heavenly realms, creating humans, protecting the people, and guarding the earth have not been known to later generations. Even though Nüwa is honored as an ancient deity and praised as one of the guardian spirits at the root of China, the words of the deity have long been lost to the world. At that time, there were indeed no written characters to pass down these important divine words that saved the people. This proves that at that time, there was no need for written characters; such purity and simplicity were what allowed the oldest ancestors of China to survive in the most hostile environments.

The Paradox of Modernity

Looking at the present, written language and technology are so advanced, and the environment in which humans live today is much more convenient and easier than it was then. Yet, despite living in such an affluent environment, people generally feel difficulties in survival. In the heavenly realms, Nüwa the character of the Chinese people; their hearts are generally restless and fundamentally cannot escape anxiety and panic, changing rapidly with the situations they encounter and the scenes before them. Whether they are high-ranking officials, the wealthy, or ordinary civilians, whether they are the elderly or children, all are panicking, anxious, and restless due to their respective afflictions. Manifested in actual life, this presents as numerous comparisons, schemes, hidden agendas, sharp and biting speech, and mutual competition, making survival even more difficult. People should have been helping and cooperating with each other, but instead, they insist on a situation where it is either you or me. It is as if the world is so vast, yet it cannot accommodate a second person to survive. This is very difficult to understand for those who were able to survive in the harsh environments of the early days.

In fact, the world is vast, and people do not need to compete and fight like this. The contraction of the world and the difficulties of survival are actually scenes manifested by the human heart itself. As long as one has an open mind-capacity and simplifies things without complex thoughts, everyone can live together in harmony.

The Mission of Practitioner Su

As the guardian deity of China, Nüwa takes this opportunity to convey important concepts that can correct China’s path. China has experienced wars of all sizes for thousands of years. Although Nüwa has also persuaded various generals and Emperors at critical moments, urging them to abandon the idea of starting wars, Nüwa’s messages were not always clearly transmitted. Nüwa and many deities and spirits of ancient society have all worked together to persuade the sentient beings on this land, hoping to reduce the occurrence of disasters.

Practitioner Su has also served as a guardian spirit of the Chinese land and has been reincarnated in China many times, acting as a great practitioner, an Emperor, a government official, and even an ordinary local person, constantly working to turn around the current situation in China. With Practitioner Su’s efforts over thousands of years, China has indeed improved and changed the fate of premature decline. However, perhaps due to the depth and breadth of Collective , this has been the fate of several civilizations in the Chinese region for a long time. Six thousand years later, China is still facing many tests.

Fortunately, Practitioner Su has once again incarnated into the human world, and from the perspective of a great practitioner, has practiced until achieving the state of an awakened being. Practitioner Su brought into the Chinese region and performed Chao Du on the deepest spaces. The people of China may not understand this, but being able to break through these spaces is not a simple matter. Because each space has its own laws of karma and cause and effect, no external force can intervene. Different spaces are independent of each other and cannot touch or influence one another. This is why for six thousand years, many guardian spirits have tried to help China but found it difficult to reach or achieve results.

This time, Practitioner Su brought Amitabha Buddha and used countless manifestations to lead the Twelve Lights to sweep across every space in China, constantly moving into deeper spaces, performing Chao Du on the demon crowds and many sentient beings of China, including ancient historical figures. This is because Practitioner Su, with the Dharma-eye and wisdom-eye of an awakened being, knows that this is the only way to save China.

The Depth of the Demon Realm

These many deep spaces do not just belong to that specific time and space. Within these spaces, there are even deeper spaces; most of these deeper spaces come from the of the sentient beings in that space. There are also deeper, inconceivable spaces that belong to even more ancient civilizations and civilizations from even further back. The depth of these spaces far exceeds six thousand years of civilization. This is why many ancient demons and old demons have been able to take root in China. They have been waiting and operating in the Chinese region for six thousand years, participating in the rise and fall of every civilization, influencing the change of dynasties, and affecting the rise and fall of civilizations.

These deep spaces can only be known if Practitioner Su uses great power to perform Chao Du and open them. Regarding the current situation of Practitioner Su performing Chao Du on the demon crowds, the reason the demons are so panicked and are launching a backlash is precisely because this long-standing operation and the history of the rise and fall of multiple civilizations are about to be thoroughly transformed by Practitioner Su. This is not what the demon crowds want to see. They do not want the Chinese people to escape their control from now on. After all, this is a process of layer-by-layer consumption; having once controlled a group of people, they have now become demon crowds being controlled by people. Such a cycle of revenge does not stop just because one wants it to. Practitioner Su uses the to perform Chao Du, forcibly breaking through many spaces and sweeping through deep spaces with the Twelve Lights, which naturally triggers a backlash from the demon crowds. To bear the suffering for sentient beings and transform the Collective Karma of the Chinese people, one must reach such a level. This is something that we, as deities, do not have the ability to do.

We guard the people in the deity-realm space and use divine language to persuade them, but we are still blocked and sound-proofed by sentient beings, making it impossible for the messages to be transmitted. Practitioner Su, who possesses a human body, can directly open the spaces of sentient beings and invite the sentient beings and demon crowds into the Dharma-Nature Land; this is indeed a very great breakthrough. This makes us, the beings in the deity realms, feel deeply impressed. We know that only by following Practitioner Su can we truly be of help to the people of China. Namo Amituofo.

Therefore, we—the ancient deities of Chinese history—have also joined the Namo Amituofo salvation team during this period of Practitioner Su’s extensive Chao Du for China. We hope to contribute our unique strengths to this salvation team. By leveraging our deep understanding and intimate knowledge of the various spaces throughout China, we aim to assist Practitioner Su’s Dharma Body in advancing this Chao Du to even deeper levels and more intricate spaces. Our goal is also to save the many sentient beings connected by karmic affinity, allowing them to finally break free from the Collective Karma that has defined the rise and fall of China’s many civilizations.

In truth, many of the demon crowds within China share a profound connection with this land; they, too, were once part of ancient Chinese civilization. Whether we speak of the demon crowds of China or those in the human realm, everyone possesses a deep Dharma affinity with Namo Amituofo. It is precisely because of this connection that they are now able to be led to the Western Pure Land.

A Call to Join the Salvation Team

I, in my form and posture as Nuwa, have been observing all of this. I can state with absolute clarity: this is not merely something that has never occurred in China’s six-thousand-year history; it is an event unprecedented even in the most ancient of civilizations. Therefore, to the demon crowds and all sentient beings: if you truly wish to save this land of China and rescue the beings who dwell upon it, I urge you to join the Namo Amituofo salvation team. This is the only way to safeguard the people and the earthly realms of China, and to protect the heavenly realms as well. This is my responsibility as Nuwa, and it is why I am here, counseling you all to take this path.

A Debt of Gratitude

I offer my deepest gratitude to Namo Amituofo, and to Practitioner Su, for saving the countless suffering beings of China. As a deity tasked with protecting this land, I have been unable to achieve this myself. I am profoundly grateful that Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su have accomplished what I could not. On behalf of the vast, countless suffering beings of China, I thank you both for your great . Nuwa bows in humble gratitude to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su.

Namo Amituofo.

Nuwa
