The Truth Within the Cells
An Interview with Master Sheng Chang
Recorded by Chief Writer Shi Faxi on February 27, 2018
This interview was recorded on February 27, 2018, by Chief Writer Shi Faxi. It features Master Sheng Chang, who provides regular reports on the spiritual progress of sentient beings. In this session, Master Sheng Chang discusses the purification of Ku Chung-liang, who sought deliverance through the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre. Having previously been a monastic, Ku Chung-liang is currently undergoing a profound transformation under the guidance of Practitioner Su, residing within the sphere of the Centre's spiritual influence.
Venerable Hailiang speaks:
"I press my palms together and respectfully invite Master Sheng Chang. Master, how is Ku Chung-liang different today?"
The Purification of Fifty Trillion Cells
Master Sheng Chang: "Every morning, Practitioner Su leads these generals and monastics in walking meditation. Today was no different, yet Practitioner Su always brings a unique experience to everyone. Naturally, the fifty trillion cells of are purified through the constant practice of chanting Namo Amituofo. A few days ago, Practitioner Su restored the three hun souls and seven po souls back into the physical bodies of each practitioner. They then accompanied Practitioner Su in performing and conducting interviews."
"Ku Chung-liang possesses a tall stature, yet in truth, his courage is not as great. He has come to realise that his Master's skills are truly of a national-treasure level. Chao Du is not a simple matter; one can only imagine the depth of the work involved. To this day, Ku Chung-liang feels deeply moved. He reflects on how, in the past, he was a monastic who practised well, yet he became unrecognisable due to the greed and dissatisfaction of the Five Turbidities and Evil World."
Finding Stillness in the Midst of Chaos
"It is no wonder that when Ku Chung-liang exercises, he avoids thinking about work. Without those wandering thoughts, he feels light and joyful. Especially when playing ball, I remind him to chant Namo Amituofo, which helps stabilise his character and heart. Gradually, he is finding his way back to his past self."
"I have also observed that Ku Chung-liang's fifty trillion cells are remarkably intelligent. Some of them have even seized the opportunity to choose to leave his body. Whether witnessing Practitioner Su performing Chao Du for sentient beings in the deep mountains, the depths of the ocean, or the hells, the scenes he has experienced this morning have moved him to tears. Ku Chung-liang is in a good state; as long as he does not dwell on unnecessary thoughts, he remains stable. He eagerly looks forward to meeting Practitioner Su soon. During this upcoming Qingming assembly in Taiwan, he will finally be able to see his Master."
Venerable Hailiang: "I am deeply grateful to Master Sheng Chang for always being so diligent and attentive. Namo Amituofo."
