The Necessity of Diligent Practice

The path requires practitioners who are honest, deeply responsible, and possess true attainment. Only through such dedicated individuals can the be authentically propagated and passed down to future generations. I am Wu Fan, and from my place in the Western Pure Land, no matter how much time has passed, I remain eternally grateful for the life-saving grace of Practitioner Su. It was she who guided me to rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Without her compassionate intervention, I would still be suffering in the depths of the hells today.

On the twentieth of August, 2018, I wish to share these words. Here in the human world, Practitioner Su is currently working alongside Namo Amituofo, the venerable masters of Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, and the dedicated volunteers and disciples. They are striving with diligent practice and deep study of the teachings. By opening up space, they are able to communicate with those of us who have been sent to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss by Practitioner Su. This work increases our sensitivity and awareness, and allows for the recording of precious Buddha-words and the explanation of the sutras. The ultimate goal of this study is to help all beings find their true nature as early as possible. Only after achieving can one truly save oneself and others, ensuring a successful rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Practitioner Su, in particular, utilises her to perform every single morning, delivering sentient beings from this world, other realms, and across the entire Milky Way to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.

The Evolution of a Dharma Practitioner

This is what I have witnessed Practitioner Su doing from my perspective in the West. In the past, everyone addressed her as Sister Su or Lay Practitioner Su. Today, she is respectfully called Practitioner Su. This title is the result of the steady, step-by-step accumulation of her tireless efforts over many years. Practitioner Su has never dared to slacken for even a single moment. Throughout her life, her every thought and mental note has been dedicated to cultivating successors for the Pure Land path. She does her utmost to complete every task entrusted to her by the Buddha.

It is her sincere hope that she is not the only one with the ability to help others. She wishes for more of the younger generation and junior practitioners to also develop the attainment necessary to deliver sentient beings to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Although she personally bears the suffering of sentient beings, and although she has the ability to come and go freely between the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss and this world, she knows that the transmission of the Pure Land teachings cannot be interrupted. Therefore, Practitioner Su continues to walk this path alongside the masses. This road to the West cannot be travelled without her. With thirty years of Buddhist practice and the experience of realising her Dharma Body, she leads everyone forward. The Pure Land requires such honest, responsible, and capable practitioners to ensure the Dharma continues to flourish.

The Splendour of the Western Pure Land

In the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, time is vast and abundant. Namo Amituofo, in His infinite , understands that sentient beings in the human world must endure the suffering of birth, aging, sickness, death, and the cycle of rebirth. Therefore, in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss that He has constructed, there is infinite life. This allows you to practise and eventually become a Buddha without the fear that your lifespan will end, forcing you to be reincarnated into another body, in another world, where you might forget your past and lose the opportunity to continue your practice. Even if you were to have the chance to practise again, you would have to start your learning all over from the very beginning.

In this world of infinite light, everything radiates brilliance. This includes the bodies of every one of us who resides here. Through the compassionate of Namo Amituofo, we all carry the Buddha-light, possessing bodies that are pure, clear, and luminous. It is a world of such exquisite beauty. The ground is paved with gold, there are ponds of seven jewels filled with the water of eight virtues, and there is no distinction between day and night. The trees are formed from precious jewels, and the rustling of the leaves in the wind, the singing of the birds, and the gentle sound of the water are all constantly teaching the Dharma. Wherever one walks, soft, fragrant flowers—the celestial Mandarava—drift down from the sky, and after one passes, the path of flowers naturally fades away. This is a world of dignity and ultimate bliss. It is the destination for the spirits of those connected by karmic affinity and practitioners who have reached the end of their physical lives. Here, there is no death; it is eternal life.

The Vision of the Village

The Amitabha Village is the dream of so many people. It is a place where one hopes to find a true home for , mind, and spirit. Even as one grows older, one should not remain mired in the pollution of the mundane world. Instead, one should reside in a place that serves as a gateway to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Yes, such a place is to be built upon the grounds of Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. With the protection of Namo Amituofo and the Dharma protectors, you will be able to live in peace. When your worldly lifespan reaches its end, you will be guided to chant Namo Amituofo and be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Such a wonderful place is waiting for those with the karmic affinity to come and reside there. Namo Amituofo.
