The Natural Order of the Heavens

From ancient times until the present day, the celestial bodies have moved according to their established orbits. This rhythmic dance of the sun, moon, and earth allows for the regular alternation of day and night, providing the essential conditions for all life and creatures on Earth to survive and flourish. We often take for granted the sight of the moon hanging high in the night sky, as natural and necessary as the very air we breathe. In truth, this orderly movement of the heavens exists because the environmental conditions and physical laws are maintained in a state of perfect equilibrium. This balance is the fundamental prerequisite for the existence of all life.

The Delicate Balance of Existence

The different phases of the moon—the waxing crescent, the full moon, and the waning crescent—are not random occurrences. They are the result of a subtle, intricate coordination between the moon, the sun, and the earth. The positioning of these bodies and the way sunlight illuminates the moon are governed by precise laws. Because of this delicate harmony, the earth is able to sustain life, allowing all beings to thrive according to the changing seasons and natural cycles. When we observe this cosmic coordination, we can draw a profound lesson for our own lives and our interactions with the world around us.

Harmony Among All Beings

Just as the celestial bodies maintain their balance, we must strive to maintain harmony in our own relationships. This applies to every connection we hold: between one person and another; between humanity and the natural environment; between humans and all other living creatures; between humans and the realm of ghost deities; between humans and the spirits inhabiting different spaces; and between humans and the infinite beings throughout the universe, the void, and the Milky Way. Even though our physical forms and ways of life may differ greatly, we are all bound by the same fundamental laws. When we align ourselves with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, we can maintain relationships of mutual support and harmony.

The Tug-of-War Between Light and Shadow

However, when we deviate from the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, our differing philosophies lead to conflicting thoughts and actions. If we cause harm to others, we inevitably trigger a struggle between the forces of righteousness and the forces of darkness—a tug-of-war between the Buddha and the demon. History has shown us time and again that evil cannot prevail over good. Whether the results are seen immediately or manifest over a long period, the ultimate conclusion remains the same.

The Path of Hsiang Kuang

The Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre has always remained steadfast in following the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. Because of this commitment, we have been blessed with the presence of Namo Amituofo in the human world. We are dedicated to saving all beings who have the karmic affinity to leave suffering behind and find happiness, leading them toward the Western Pure Land. It is our deepest wish to guide even more beings to walk together with us, firmly rooted in the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way.
