Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju offers these profound insights for those who seek to realise their true nature. This path is not merely a destination; it is a necessary process of purification that every practitioner must undergo to reach the state of .

The Taint of Discrimination

We must first understand that all forms of are inherently tainted. Our minds are constantly clouded by the dual forces of discriminations and attachment. These forces act as heavy veils, preventing us from seeing the clarity of our original nature. Because we are accustomed to these mental habits, we remain trapped in the cycle of samsara.

Letting Go to Awaken

To move beyond this, one must learn to let go of consciousness and instead rely on the roots. What does this mean for the practitioner? It means that when our interact with the external world, we must change how we respond. The six sense organs (eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, mind) are our natural faculties for perceiving the world, while the six consciousnesses are the distorted born from our habits of discriminations and attachment.

When we rely on the inherent nature of the six roots to respond directly to our environment, we bypass the filters of discriminations and attachment. Consequently, we remain untouched by the impurities that usually arise from these mental habits.

Growing the

This is the key to the teaching: one must give rise to all roots of goodness and achieve the fruit of . When every thought that arises within you is free from evil and is rooted in Goodness, you will no longer trigger the karmic reactions born of discriminations and attachment. By maintaining this state of purity, you prevent the accumulation of new karmic seeds.

The Manifestation of Wisdom

When the eighth consciousness—the —is purified and enters a state of emptiness, your original nature will naturally manifest. When this consciousness is entirely free from even the slightest trace of impurity and is fully transformed into pure Wisdom, your original nature will be revealed in its entirety. This is the moment of Awakening, where the light of purity shines forth and your Prajna wisdom is perfectly manifest. Namo Amituofo.
