The Essence of True Practice

Whether your practice is true or false, your own heart knows the answer. The myriad spirits of the earth also perceive the quality of your inner state. When you engage in true practice, your body and mind become radiant with light. Conversely, if your practice is merely a facade, your body and mind remain shrouded in darkness. You must ask yourself: are you truly walking the path, or are you merely going through the motions?

The Urgency of a Human Life

A human life is brief, lasting no more than a century. If you spend your time in false practice, you are letting your precious life drift away in vain. A true practitioner is a genuine child of the Buddha; they walk alongside Namo Amituofo and never allow a single moment to pass without purpose. You must be diligent and persistent, never daring to slacken in your efforts. Why is this so critical? Because you must fear the moment when your breath stops. If you have not yet reached the state of by that final moment, you will have lived in vain, and the consequences are truly tragic.

The Light of the Buddha-Heart

To practise effectively, you must align your heart with the Buddha-heart. As you chant the name of Namo Amituofo, let the Buddha-heart guide your every thought. When you reach the state of chanting without the sense of a chanter, the light of your original nature will naturally manifest. True practice is never empty; it is a living, breathing light that shines forth from your very being. Every step you take should be a grounded, practical effort to save suffering beings. You must walk this path with your feet firmly planted on the ground, ensuring that your actions are consistent with your vows.

Returning to the

I counsel all and all beings gathered here today to join in this practice. With every sound of the name of Namo Amituofo, let it resonate from your heart and through your lips. If you sincerely wish to enter the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss and behold Namo Amituofo, you must commit yourself fully to this path. When the time comes, the Buddhas will welcome you into the Land of Lotuses. You will then become one of the beings residing in that pure, enlightened realm. This message was recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Venerable HaiZe.
