Recorded at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre
This is a record of an interview with Erbachali, a representative of extraterrestrial beings who sought at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. They now reside in the . This account reflects upon their journey from the distant Gutankiheya planet. Recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe, on May 2, 2017.
Venerable HaiZe speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. I perform three bows before the Buddha. Last night, from the right eye, head, and back of the skull of Practitioner Jiaxian, I invited a vast number of extraterrestrial beings, along with their spacecraft and pilots, to seek Chao Du. Their representative is named Erbachali. Practitioner Su suggested that I interview them to understand the conditions of their home planet."
Namo Amituofo speaks:
"Please, proceed, child! The beings are already waiting."
Venerable HaiZe speaks:
"Yes, thank you, Namo Amituofo."
A Chance Encounter with Radiant Light
Venerable HaiZe speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. Welcome to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. I trust you have all been guided to the lotus seats in the Western -Nature Land by now?"
Erbachali speaks:
"Indeed, we have. This is truly a magnificent place—so serene. People on Earth often describe your world as a place of endless turmoil, but looking at it from here, I think that assessment needs to be re-evaluated. We did not originally intend to visit this location. However, as soon as we passed beyond the protective layer surrounding our planet, we were struck by beams of brilliant light radiating from this very spot. We were so curious that we decided to investigate, and it has certainly been a journey worth taking."
The Crisis on Gutankiheya
Venerable HaiZe speaks:
"Greetings, Erbachali. May I ask where you come from? Why did you embark on this expedition? What is the name of your planet, and could you briefly describe the situation there?"
Erbachali speaks:
"Greetings, Venerable HaiZe. We searched your language to find a suitable name for ourselves. We possess a highly advanced search system that allows us to answer unknown questions in an incredibly short amount of time. This is one of the ways we maintain the security of our organizational operations. Generally, such information is not disclosed to outsiders, but we have chosen to answer honestly to demonstrate our sincerity in seeking refuge.
"Our planet is located eighty-two billion years away from here. It is called the Gutankiheya planet. It was once a peaceful place, free from war and conflict. If one were to look at our planet from outside its protective layer, it would appear as a pale purple sphere emitting a soft glow. However, not long ago, 'mutants' appeared on our planet. They are aggressive, combative, and capable of forming organized systems that absorb the energy of the strong and quick-witted. This cast a shadow over our world.
"This behavior violates the we have been taught to uphold since the beginning of time. Before these beings appeared, everyone in our realm interacted with genuine sincerity; deception was forbidden. But these mutants possess a cold, ruthless method of survival. They lack all emotion and have severed all ties of friendship, causing great harm to the peace and well-being of our people. Consequently, we decided to seek a new home elsewhere."
Energy, Longevity, and Survival
Erbachali speaks:
"Our physical forms are not large; we are shorter than the humans on Earth. We communicate through mental notes rather than vocalizing, which helps us conserve energy. When an individual is born, they are born with an innate amount of energy. When that energy resource is exhausted, it signifies that their karmic affinity has ended, and their life comes to a close. Therefore, longevity is our greatest challenge. This is why we must constantly maintain a calm and gentle heart; anger, intensity, competitiveness, and combativeness consume vast amounts of energy.
"These mutants, however, are hypocritical. They deceive others, cruelly severing all relationships, and because they lack gentle, radiant light-energy, they eventually fade away. During these periods, 'self-destructing bodies' with intense heat may appear. If the scope of their influence is large, it can cause a crisis for the planet's survival or even lead to an explosion. This is why, every so often, we embark on expeditions to find a planet suitable for our survival. We place great importance on environmental protection and energy, as the two are positively and interdependently linked."
The Mystery of the Population
Venerable HaiZe speaks:
"May I ask, you mentioned that a vast number of extraterrestrial beings arrived here from your planet. Are there others remaining on your world? What is your total population, or are you all here?"
Erbachali speaks:
"Our population is far greater than just this group. We are merely an exploration team sent to find a place where we can settle. If we find a suitable location, we will send a message to notify our officials and residents to follow. As for the total population data of our planet, it is classified. To be honest, population statistics are reported upward, and only those at the very highest level of our hierarchy know the true numbers."
The Holy Name and the Western Pure Land
Venerable HaiZe speaks:
"Thank you. That is a very unique planet. Your physical appearance is as gentle and mild as your temperament. As the saying goes, 'Appearance arises from the mind.' Have you heard the Buddha-name 'Namo Amituofo' that we broadcast here?"
Erbachali speaks:
"Yes, it is a magnificent sound—a resonance we have never heard before. Furthermore, this sound automatically converts into our own language, and as it converts, it continuously emits light. In less than a day, others here have asked us how we managed to enter, as they have been waiting in line for a long time. They are arranged here to listen to the sutras and hear the Dharma so they can go to a place called the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. I told them that we were simply drawn here by the intense beams of light. May I ask, what is the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss? Can we visit and observe it? How do we get there? Can our spacecraft enter? Because of the requirements of our flight, will other gravitational forces affect us?"
A Path to Ultimate Bliss
Venerable HaiZe speaks:
"You are people of tremendous , and you have only been able to come here because your good roots, blessings, and Causal Conditions are fully matured! The Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is a place where there is no suffering, only receiving all happiness. Every wish is fulfilled, and everyone is extremely harmonious and joyful. There is no violence, anger, combativeness, or deception—it is a place filled with purity and . The teaching master there is called Namo Amituofo. The condition for going there is that you must truly be willing to go, and you must respectfully chant the holy name 'Namo Amituofo'.
"Namo Amituofo means Infinite Life and Infinite Light. Many sentient beings with karmic affinity here are chanting the Buddha's name to seek rebirth in the Western Pure Land. You will not be prevented from going there just because you have spacecraft. In the forty-eight vows of Namo Amituofo, there is no mention that beings who rely on spacecraft for movement are excluded. Therefore, you may stay here in the Western Dharma-Nature Land at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. The morning kinhin led by Practitioner Su at 2:30 AM, or the weekly , are excellent opportunities to chant 'Namo Amituofo' and seek rebirth in the Western Pure Land."
Erbachali speaks:
"That is truly wonderful! Thank you for giving us this precious opportunity."
Venerable HaiZe speaks:
"By going to the Western Land to draw close to Namo Amituofo, one day, you too will become a Buddha!"
Erbachali speaks:
"On behalf of our planet, I offer our most sincere and respectful gratitude to you all. You have guided us to our future destination. That is the lifeline for our survival."
Venerable HaiZe speaks:
"Yes. We must thank Namo Amituofo for establishing the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss to save suffering beings, providing them with a place to depend upon. We must also thank Practitioner Su for following in the footsteps of Namo Amituofo, receiving beings at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to be reborn in the Western Pure Land. This is a tremendous blessing for all sentient beings with karmic affinity throughout infinite kalpas. May the spacecraft, the vast number of extraterrestrial beings, and their representative, Erbachali, from the Gutankiheya planet, successfully visit, observe, and live in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Namo Amituofo."
