The Atlantis Civilization's Journey to the Western Pure Land

This interview was recorded on May 2, 2017, by Venerable Faxin of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. It features a remarkable dialogue with Vavalas Tinardo, a citizen representative from an extraterrestrial civilization located 250 billion light-years away. Seeking Spiritual Deliverance, the entire population of this planet has arrived at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to learn the path to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

Venerable Faxin speaks: "Namo Amituofo. During the second session of the Thrice Yearning Ceremony last week, we received a message from the Atlantis planet seeking Spiritual Deliverance. Could a representative come forward to tell us about the general situation and lifestyle on your planet? This interview is a major breakthrough—a dialogue between humanity and an extraterrestrial being that will surely astonish many."

Beings speak: "*!+~@&~~*!+~@&~~ *!+~@&~~" (Extraterrestrial language).

Venerable Faxin speaks: "The Buddha teaches the Dharma with a single voice, and all beings understand it according to their own nature. May we invite the Buddha’s blessings to translate this into a way we can communicate with each other. Namo Amituofo, in your great compassion."

The Life of a Citizen Representative

Vavalas Tinardo speaks: "Namo Amituofo. I am a citizen representative from my planet. My daily work involves patrolling the city I oversee while riding an aerial motorcycle. We have some similarities to you; for instance, we are all dressed in white from head to toe. If I were to describe it in your language, it would be like wearing a tight white suit that covers everything except our eyes. Our eyes are also quite different from yours—they are much rounder and larger.

"Looking at you humans, you always seem to be in such a rush. I do not understand why you must live that way. We are much more leisurely than you. Our planet has no gravity, so most things float in the air. Our houses are quite unique; the roofs are curved, and each curve has a window. These houses are constructed through the power of intention, allowing them to be built seamlessly one after another. Of course, trying to insert a house in between others is illegal and not permitted."

Communication and Energy

"We do have gender distinctions, but not through the obvious physical organs that humans have. We distinguish gender primarily through electrical waves. Those who emit shorter waves are what you call 'females,' and those with longer waves are 'males.' Children are created through the exchange of electrical waves between us—a form of 'explosion.' When they first emerge, they are very weak electrical waves that must be carefully surrounded and nurtured by the waves of the parents. If this weak fluctuation is disturbed, it may vanish, or the frequency might shift, causing the child to become deformed or altered.

"Such deformities or 'bad cells' place a burden on the planet. They are gathered and managed in a specific area—a small world within our planet dedicated to cultivating flowers and plants to beautify the entire realm. This is one of the methods our planetary leader uses to manage these issues: by exposing them to beautiful things and positive energy, we prevent them from deteriorating further. Our planet has a very peaceful magnetic field. The flora is vibrant and lush, the rivers are clear, and everything is harmonious and good. As a citizen representative, I do not have much to do because everyone is so well-behaved. My white aerial motorcycle and my white suit respond to my intentions; when I have the thought, the motorcycle starts and travels to my destination, with speed controlled entirely by my mind."

Environmental Harmony

"Our urban development is different from yours. The roads are usually hidden; they only appear automatically when needed to support your walking, and they vanish again once you have passed. In your Earth terminology, this is called 'environmental protection.' It keeps the environment tidy, a concept we learned by observing other planets. Our planet has a high happiness index. You might wonder if we are as busy as you are, but we are not. Our food is a white capsule filled with energy; one is enough for the whole day."

The Heroic Sacrifice for Survival

"However, the source of this energy is a black hole outside our universe. There is immense energy there, but it is extremely dangerous to retrieve. Every long period, when our energy reserves run low, someone must pilot a flying saucer to the vicinity of the black hole to collect it. When the saucer reaches the black hole, it automatically absorbs and stores massive amounts of energy. But the powerful forces of the black hole make it impossible for our pilots to survive; they must sacrifice themselves to secure the survival of our people. The saucer is pre-programmed to return to the planet once it is fully charged, but by then, the pilot has already perished. You might find it strange—if the saucer is automated, why is a pilot needed? Because as the saucer approaches the black hole, the immense gravitational pull can cause it to drift off course, making it impossible to absorb the energy. Therefore, someone must perform this task. Those who volunteer for this sacrifice are the heroes of our planet, and their sacrifice is considered a great honour. Nevertheless, it remains a sorrowful matter."

Finding the Light of Hope

"For many years, we searched for another source of energy besides the black hole. After developing our most advanced flying saucers, we began to explore. Finally, in recent years, we discovered a glimmer of hope. A brilliant, powerful light appeared in the universe—an energy more potent than anything we had ever seen, except for the black hole. We gathered our courage and sent a few scouts, not wanting to risk too much, as the survival of our planet was at stake. When we arrived, we were amazed! What a magical place! It was filled with an aura of peace and beautiful music. It seemed to be a place where our planet could find refuge. Moved, we asked the spirits here about this place.

"They explained that one could go to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, where the teaching master is Namo Amituofo. They told us that he was personally holding a grand Dharma assembly to lead immeasurable and boundless beings to his land. It is so beautiful there. We are very fortunate to have arrived just in time to participate in such a grand event. They also said that if we were unsure or did not yet know if we wanted to go, we could first go to the transfer point of the Western Pure Land: the Western Dharma-Nature Land at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. There, we could listen to the sutras and learn what the Western Pure Land is all about. That might be safer for us.

"Our scouts felt this was reasonable. After evaluating the situation, we decided to report to the King of our planet that this place is safe and that we have finally found our destination. Our people did not prepare anything, as we heard that everything is provided here. We arrived in a large flying saucer and explained our purpose to the mighty guard at the entrance—the one you call Skanda Bodhisattva. We then entered the Western Dharma-Nature Land at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre."

Venerable Faxin speaks: "Namo Amituofo."

Vavalas Tinardo speaks: "Speaking of Namo Amituofo, I heard that we must learn to chant this name to go to the Western Pure Land. The people on our planet are now practising it very often."

Venerable Faxin speaks: "May I ask why you gave the message to me during the second session of the Thrice Yearning Ceremony?"

Vavalas Tinardo speaks: "It was Namo Amituofo who wanted us to give you the message. I scanned the area and discovered that there is a part of your cells that is similar to ours, so I knew you would be able to receive the message we transmitted."

Venerable Faxin speaks: "Namo Amituofo. May I ask how many people from your planet have come in total?"

Vavalas Tinardo speaks: "Our planet is 250 billion light-years away from yours. Everyone on our planet has come. If calculated by your numbers, there are 185 million of us."

Venerable Faxin speaks: "I see. Thank you for accepting this interview today. Please remember to practise chanting Namo Amituofo often, so that when you go to the Western Pure Land, you can be assured you will not fall back. I am also grateful to you for revealing the life of an extraterrestrial planet to us. It is truly a blessing. Namo Amituofo."
