The Fog of Delusion
Before one reaches the state of an awakened being, are clouded by karmic obstacles. Because of this, we cannot see the truth of reality clearly. We often find ourselves drifting into deviant paths without even realising it. We become lost in the —Greed, Anger, Ignorance, Arrogance, and Doubt—and we are consumed by the : wealth, lust, fame, food, and sleep. Without the guidance of a true spiritual friend, we often mistake the wrong path for the right one. We fail to stop, fail to cut off these attachments, and eventually find it difficult to extricate ourselves. Consequently, we drift further and further away from the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, and further from the time of our own .
The Vigilance of the Wise
A wise person embodies the principle of . They maintain strict adherence to the , ensuring they do not commit transgressions. In every action, word, and thought, they act for the benefit of all beings, never for personal gain or selfish desires. They constantly reflect upon themselves with deep introspection. If their actions deviate even slightly, they immediately return to the right path. If their words deviate, they immediately return to the right path. If their thoughts deviate, they immediately return to the right path. One must understand that even a minor deviation creates a negative cause. This leads to evil consequences, suffering, and impurity, which keeps us far from the state of Awakening. Therefore, you must return to the right path immediately. The most effective method is to have faith in the Buddha, chant Namo Amituofo, and cultivate a heart of no-self and selflessness.
The Power of Self-Mastery
Do not allow your ego to dictate your life. Do not cling to your own views or attachments. When your heart feels low, recognise this as a deviation; do not let your heart sink into the depths of despair. One who can be the master of their own life possesses true awareness. They can know, they can remain calm, and they can return to the right path. It is the great fortune of the students of Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre to have Practitioner Su, who can see clearly and resolve the conflicts with , attached spirits, and beings in the demon realms. Through this process of spiritual deliverance, we are helped to return to the right path and avoid being controlled by external influences.
Purifying -Mind-Spirit
We must reclaim our three hun souls and seven po souls so that we can be the masters of our own bodies, preventing external beings from disturbing our peace. At this juncture, with the assistance of the Buddha, the teachers, and Practitioner Su, you must awaken. You must change your personality traits and never repeat past mistakes. Guard your three hun souls and seven po souls, let go of selfishness and attachments, and walk the righteous path. Only by purifying the Body-Mind-Spirit can you reach the moment of Awakening. Namo Amituofo.
