When the Flower Blooms, You See the Buddha
Teachings from Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju
First Session of the Thrice Yearning Ceremony, 16 June 2019
The Path to Non-Arising Patience
The state of Non-Arising Dharma Patience is not some distant, unattainable goal that lies beyond your reach. In truth, it rests entirely within your own heart. It depends solely on whether you possess the sincere Vows and the diligent practice required to attain it. If you have these Vows and this practice, you are ready to move forward. If you have no family ties to hold you back, your heart is free from worldly obstacles, and this is the perfect environment for your spiritual practice.
Purifying and Saving Others
However, if you do have family, you must practise even more diligently. By purifying your own heart and mind, you can save yourself and, in turn, guide your family members toward rebirth in the of Ultimate Bliss. In the eyes of the Dharma, the world is one family. Every person is your kin. When you realise that all beings and your own self are one, this universal love transcends the limited bonds of your immediate family.
The Equality of All Beings
The Great Dharma of the Pure Land makes no distinction between you and me. We must show respect to everyone, for every being is originally a Buddha. Though we are currently lost in the cycle of reincarnation and appear different in form, our original nature is identical. Once you understand this Truth, you must act upon it. Break through the obstacles that block your path. The Truth remains unmoved and eternal. Move forward with courage, and never cease your own efforts in practice.
The Ultimate Achievement
With the support of the Buddha's , you will eventually attain the state of an awakened being. Make the vow to achieve rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, where the lotus will bloom and you will see Namo Amituofo. Once you awaken to the state of non-arising, you will attain the patience of the Dharma. You will achieve success in this very lifetime, becoming one with Namo Amituofo. This message was recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Venerable HaiZe.
