The Endless Wandering of the Soul

How many more lifetimes must we endure the cycle of rebirth? We wander endlessly between this world and others, drifting through the vast expanse of existence. Whether we find ourselves in the Three Good Realms or the Three Evil Realms, we are merely temporary guests in each. We have spent accumulated lifetimes drifting in this cycle, yet we have forgotten our true home. Where is the place to which all beings truly belong? We must stop falling into the lower realms, for the suffering there is truly profound and unbearable.

A Sanctuary for Liberation

Today, Namo Amituofo has established the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre. This sanctuary exists for one singular purpose: to rescue all beings from suffering and to help them escape the cycle of rebirth entirely. Namo Amituofo does not abandon a single opportunity to save a sentient being. The hope is that those who are rescued can finally find rest from their suffering and the consequences of their past actions. You must stop creating new causes for suffering. Instead, you should focus on chanting Namo Amituofo to leave suffering behind and attain rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This is the very reason the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre was built.

The Weight of Habit and Emotion

Beings require education to understand the methods for leaving suffering behind. However, your individual habits, deep-seated attachments, and confused emotions are incredibly heavy. You may be able to refrain from negative actions for a period of time, but when you encounter impure conditions, you often fall back into old patterns. Perhaps it is the resurgence of romantic attachments or other worldly desires. It is truly difficult to change these deep-rooted habits, and one must ask: when will this suffering finally end?

The Path to Eternal Peace

Every form of suffering has a root cause. It is an absolute truth that every cause will eventually bear its own fruit. To stop the suffering, you must prevent the conditions from maturing into painful results. This is the current method for halting your distress. You must learn to:

  • See the Goodness in all things and cultivate a positive perspective.
  • Refrain from harbouring evil thoughts or destructive views.
  • Maintain a continuous, pure state of mind through constant chanting.
  • Ensure that every thought is focused on Namo Amituofo.

When your faith and your practice are in sync, you will find that sincere repentance and chanting allow you to leave suffering behind. Through diligent practice, you will be bathed in the Buddha-light. As you remove defilements and attain purity, the light of wisdom will manifest. You will then be able to see your true nature and be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, moving freely through the universe. You will finally find rest from the cycle of rebirth, and you will be empowered to assist other connected beings in their own journey to the West.
