Witnessing the Inconceivable Power of the Chao Du Team
An Interview with Chang Yung-fa, Founder of the Evergreen Group
Recorded on August 13, 2018
This is a record of an interview with Chang Yung-fa, the founder of the Evergreen Group, who sought at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon his experience with the Chao Du team. Recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe, on August 13, 2018.
Chang Yung-fa speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. I am Chang Yung-fa. Today, I set out with Practitioner Su's Chao Du team, and I was absolutely stunned! It is an extraordinary and invincible team! They come in all shapes and sizes—tall, short, stout, and thin. They appear mostly as men, each looking incredibly dignified, majestic, and powerful. There are both young and old among them, though many look quite youthful. But let me tell you, every single one of them is a spirit who has lived for hundreds or even thousands of years!"
A Team of Transformed Beings
"These are the 'external Bodhisattvas from the cosmos' who have been transformed and saved by Practitioner Su. They once possessed the hearts of demons, but under the influence of Practitioner Su's , they have turned away from evil, embraced the Buddha's path, and now appear in monastic robes. They have become an integral part of this team, working together to save beings and guide them to rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This is truly unprecedented; no one has ever been able to achieve this, nor could anyone have even imagined it possible, yet Practitioner Su has done it. Their movements are incredibly swift—they travel by flying. Of course, Practitioner Su's movements are even faster than theirs. It is truly inconceivable!"
The Reality of the Spirit World
"The world of spirits is something most people can only imagine, as it is invisible to the physical eye. People are terrified of ghosts, but let me tell you, there is no need to be afraid. Ghosts are just like people. They have a world similar to ours, filled with men and women, young and old, people from all walks of life, and every imaginable personality. The only difference is that they lack a physical body, and they cannot see the sun. Their world is devoid of sunlight, which is why it is so grey and dim. Many people pass away and become ghosts. A lucky few might ascend to the heavens to enjoy the life of a deity or be reincarnated as a human. But it is rare to hear of someone reaching the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss these days."
A Rare Opportunity for Rebirth
"I am very fortunate to be one of those who have reached the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This formidable group of external Bodhisattvas from the cosmos, led by Venerable Chang Ren, is the very team that will accompany Practitioner Su back to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss in the future. This whole affair sounds like a myth or a fairy tale, yet it is happening right here, in reality, at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre with Practitioner Su! To witness the transformation of these external Bodhisattvas from the cosmos with my own eyes—there are so many of them, truly a vast multitude—is not an easy thing. If one did not possess such profound virtue, skill, compassion, and wisdom, it would be impossible to accomplish."
The Choice is Yours
"People in this world always believe only what they can see with their own eyes. When they encounter things they have never heard of or seen before, they are quick to doubt. This is simply the insecurity of humanity. But that is alright! It is no loss to Practitioner Su; the only one who loses out is the person who doubts. As Practitioner Su often says: 'I will save those I can save. For those I cannot save, I will wait until the next time I descend to save them!' I am one of those who was saved this time. I do not need to wait for the next time; I do not need to go through the cycle of rebirth again."
"Intelligent and wise people will seize this lifetime. If you want to go to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, coming to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia to find Practitioner Su is the right choice! Namo Amituofo."
