The Burden of Unresolved
Before you have successfully transformed your karma, you remain an ordinary person, still deeply bound by the weight of your past actions and caught in the relentless cycle of birth and death. When you experience the pain of the physical body, you must immediately raise a heart of . You must come to a clear and profound realisation that this suffering is not an accident; it is the direct result of your own past actions. It is because of the causes you planted in the past that you are now experiencing these bitter fruits. Therefore, you should feel deep shame and engage in sincere, heartfelt repenting.
Why is this physical pain so persistent and difficult to bear? It is because, at the same time that you are suffering, there are countless beings within our bodies—the very beings you harmed through your past negative causes—who are suffering even more than you are. Because their spirits have awakened, they have come to seek revenge and repay grievances. This is the true reason for the manifestation of karma that you experience today, which often affects your Body-Mind-Spirit simultaneously.
The Long Journey Through Samsara
You may have already passed through three, four, ten, or even twenty lifetimes, or perhaps even longer in the cycle of reincarnation. Yet, these beings have remained trapped in the very moment of their past suffering, never having found a way to leave suffering behind. Now that the Causal Conditions have matured, the fruit of your past actions has manifested. This is the time when these beings come to collect their debts. This reality of and the causes and effects applies to every person who has not yet transformed their karma, including all members of the fourfold assembly.
Because you have not yet transformed your karma, you are constantly in a state where your karma is manifesting, where impermanence reigns, and where you are subjected to various forms of suffering. The purpose of your practice is to understand the truth of these facts. Through diligent practice, you can transform your karma, become an awakened being, and leave suffering behind. Only then can you achieve true liberation.
The Path to True Liberation
Many people, when faced with the manifestation of karma and overwhelming hardship, do not know how to escape. They suffer in body, mind, and spirit. When their physical life ends, their spirit remains trapped in the cycle of reincarnation, continuing the cycle of birth, aging, sickness, and death. To break this cycle, you must focus on the following:
- Repenting:
- Acknowledge your past mistakes with a sincere heart to begin the process of clearing karmic debts.Diligent Practice:
- Commit yourself to the path of chanting Namo Amituofo to purify your heart and spirit.:
- Strive to realise your true nature, which allows you to see through the illusions of the material world.Compassion: Extend your heart to all beings, especially those who have been harmed by your past actions, to help them find peace.
Transcending the Illusion of Pain
Before you transform your karma, your life is dictated by the flow of your past actions. Whether you are rich or poor, noble or lowly, it is all a manifestation of karmic conditions and the causes and effects. These karmic bonds are like a phantom. If you continue to feel and react to them, the cycle of suffering will never end. When will it stop? Suffering is ultimately an illusion.
If you have and reactions, then suffering exists. If you can let go of these , then the suffering ceases to be. Namo Amituofo.
