A Different Encounter in the Spiritual Realms
An Interview with Jeffrey Koo Chung-hung
Recorded on February 24, 2018
Jeffrey Koo Chung-hung sought deliverance through the at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. This testimony, recorded by the chief writer, Shi Faxin, on February 24, 2018, details his observations of the spiritual realms and his journey toward the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
Jeffrey Koo Chung-hung speaks:
"What I see before me is a land where the ground is paved with gold, a realm of absolute purity and dignity. It is a world that anyone who catches even a glimpse of would yearn for with their entire heart. I see boundless numbers of beings flying together toward the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, never once looking back. This is the innate sensitivity of the spirit; they know, deep down, how magnificent the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss truly is.
The Illusion of the Familiar
Yet, despite this, there are still many beings who remain stubbornly attached to the things they were doing, the lives they were leading, and the environments they were once familiar with. These are the beings I observe in this space. Their lives appear so ordinary, so normal, that they do not even realise they have already become spirits—that they have long since lost the ability to truly govern their own existence.
In their busy, repetitive lives, I seem to see the shadows of my own reality. It is imperative that we help these beings escape such a space; this is the magnificent, inconceivable merit and power of the Buddha-name. This is an encounter entirely different from the life I lived in the human world.
A Subtle
It is only in moments of profound clarity that I feel a touch of sadness. It is as if there is something within my body that is waiting to be awakened, yet I have not yet fully roused from this state. The sensations of the spirit seem to be felt by the physical body as well. This is a subtle, incremental progress—an inconceivable advancement that occurs daily as the fifty trillion cells undergo purification. I am optimistic about all of this, and I welcome the transformation that is yet to come.
Namo Amituofo."
