Lee Kuan Yew speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. I am Lee Kuan Yew. I am here, and every single day, I witness the magnificent radiance of the Buddha-light. I also observe the many grand and solemn Chao Du ceremonies taking place. This place is truly a miracle, a rarity in this world. So many people spend their lives chasing after miracles, but the miracles that occur here are far more magnificent than anything the world could ever offer!"
The Burden of Worldly Ambition
"My son, Hsien Loong, you have sacrificed so much for this life. But my child, you must understand—time always has an end. In the past, my teachings to you were focused on shaping you into a leader, a 'dragon' among men. But now, your father understands the Truth. I no longer wish for you to be a dragon; I only hope that you can find liberation. At the very least, I hope you can find a way to break free from the dusty chains that bind your current life.
In our society, how much must one struggle and fight just to achieve something? People believe that those without the ability cannot accomplish great things, and so they engage in endless competition, constantly striving to elevate themselves so they are not discarded by the changing times. But let me tell you, such a life is exhausting. The heart is almost always weary. In the past, I taught you to be strong, to never show fatigue, but now I realise that these were mistaken teachings. I see now how polluted the world has become. I once believed those methods were correct, but now I know they are entirely contrary to the Truth. That is why I ultimately had to endure my own and suffer the agony of illness."
A Father's Urgent Hope
"I see that you, too, have fallen ill, my son. Hsien Loong, listen to me: coming here is far more effective than any medical treatment. Do not continue to suffer under the weight of these illnesses. Come here and listen to the teachings of the Buddha-land. This is a treasure that can truly save your life. I hope that when you see this message, you will understand. This is an exceptionally special place, and it is worthy of your personal experience.
I am your father, Lee Kuan Yew, and I am here waiting for you to come. It was the Buddha who saved my life; otherwise, I would still be suffering in the hells. I am deeply grateful for everything here, and I hope that you, too, can come to know this. Namo Amituofo."
