Lay Practitioner Wang Huaxian, the father of Lay Practitioner Wang Yue, sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He has since successfully transitioned to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This interview, recorded on March 7, 2025, by the chief writer, Shi Faxin, captures his reflections on his spiritual journey and his final message to his family and the world.
Lay Practitioner Wang Huaxian speaks:
". Today, being able to see the Buddha, my heart is overflowing with gratitude. I am so deeply thankful for having such magnificent Causal Conditions. The magnificence and dignity of Namo Amituofo have brought a profound sense of peace to my heart. This is the very peace I have been searching for my entire life, and now, I have finally found it. I want to thank my child, Wang Yue, for helping me; you have truly allowed your father to fulfil the deepest wish of his heart.
Since arriving at this Buddha-land, I have realised so much. I have spent time reflecting on the true meaning of life. I have come to realise that possessing a human body is an incredibly precious thing. Beyond just doing the things we want to do, we have the opportunity to help others during our time in this world. Only by living in such a way can we ensure that our lives are not wasted.
In the past, I believed that as long as life was calm and everyone was getting along, that was enough. I failed to see that there are actually so many people suffering. In this world, everyone is enduring different kinds of pain, and many people are trapped, unable to find a way out. Now that I have arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss—the true exit for all spirits—I have finally come to understand these truths.
I have also come to understand that every life we have lived in the past is a result of Causal Conditions. Each relationship in life is different, but having a kind heart is the most important thing of all. Now that I have departed from that cycle and seen the Buddha, I realise that it took the accumulation of goodness over countless lifetimes to reach this day. I am grateful to the Buddha, and I am grateful to my past self for the seeds I planted.
I have already departed. I have left nothing behind in the world, and these words are likely the final message I will ever leave. I leave behind my for my family and for the world. I hope people will stop to reflect on what they are truly pursuing in their lives. Can you really take those things with you when you go? Often, it is only when you stop in your tracks and take a good look that you can truly begin to walk in the direction you actually want to go.
Perhaps those who knew me in life will think that these words do not sound like me at all. But what I am speaking of is the awakening of my spirit during this time; I have truly seen through the illusions of the world. Therefore, I have no more attachments, and I have made the decision to depart. This decision was of the utmost importance to me, and it has truly saved me. I hope that more people will no longer have to suffer, that they can live meaningful lives, and that they can come to know the path to liberation.
I am filled with gratitude to the Buddha for establishing the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, giving us a place to return to. I am grateful to Practitioner Su for his guidance, which allowed me to reach the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. I am grateful for all the Causal Conditions that brought me here. May you all be blessed.
With palms joined, Wang Huaxian."
