This is a record of an interview with the late Master Wei Chueh, who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon his message to his followers in the human world, recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe, on June 10, 2017.

Master Wei Chueh speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am Master Wei Chueh. I am here to share the teachings of Namo Amituofo, which were bestowed upon me with infinite . Please, listen closely to these words, for they are the key to true liberation in this age of the ’s decline.

The Compassionate Guidance of Namo Amituofo

Namo Amituofo’s discourse is as follows: 'The brilliance of Chung Tai shines across the universe. The sincerity of the disciples is truly moving. To save oneself and to save others, one must first awaken. The essence of practising the Buddha’s path lies primarily in cultivating the mind. When the mind is clear, the myriad phenomena of the world are understood in their entirety. The style of Meditation (Concentration) is clearly visible at Chung Tai Mountain. Through the practice of Meditation (Concentration), the heart can find its own clarity. When people perceive the essence of this meditation, the heart finds peace and acceptance. By setting one's heart to protect and uphold the Dharma, the mind finds true stability and peace.'

'Although one may find temporary peace within meditation, the afflictions and delusions are merely suppressed, not eradicated. Ultimately, this breath must cease. Once the physical body has exhausted its in the human world, where does the spirit go? Who can truly know? Human life is precious; it is the path to liberation. Do not fall back into the cycle of rebirth. Although the fruits of and the suffering of the world may seem distant during meditation, once the final breath is taken, one may find themselves in deep sorrow. Why did the World Honoured One speak of the age of the Dharma’s decline? All beings must rely on the Pure Land and Namo Amituofo. Even if one achieves a level of meditative concentration, if the wisdom is not fully opened, the fourfold assembly will struggle to truly believe and act upon the Dharma. may be temporarily distanced, but at the moment of death, the myriad karmic forces will manifest. One will still drift through the six realms of existence. Namo Amituofo does not abandon those of elite potential, yet so many still enter the cycle of rebirth. I earnestly hope that my disciples can truly believe. Only then can the and the life of wisdom be extended. I, Wei Chueh, now in the Western Land, am here to receive you all. This is what it truly means to be in the mainstream of the Dharma.'

The Urgent Warning for the Fourfold Assembly

"Namo Amituofo. I am deeply grateful for the compassionate teachings of Namo Amituofo. I, Wei Chueh, feel profound shame and am repenting! For so long, I have been calling out, yet I received not a single word of response. Now that I have finally received the direct words of Namo Amituofo, I pray that the Chung Tai community can awaken. Please, do not view these words as ordinary. For those who study the Buddha’s path, the greatest taboo is to falsely claim the presence of the Buddha; the sin of such an act leads to the Avici Hell! I, Wei Chueh, am speaking to you now from the Western Land. How could one who speaks falsely ever be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss?

The Limitations of Chan Practice

"In this age of the Dharma’s decline, it is difficult to distinguish between the true and the false. Often, what is actually a deviant path is mistaken for the True Teachings. It is indeed true that the True Teachings are difficult to hear and difficult to believe. Because of this, many hear the truth, mistake it for a deviant path, and turn away in disbelief. How regrettable! They have lost a great benefit. The lineage of the Chan practice at Chung Tai has done its best, but no matter how much one believes they have attained the path of meditation, if they cannot achieve liberation from birth and death, it is all meaningless! It is merely a fleeting Dharma affinity in the human world. My heart aches as I say this. If there is truly an , I beg you to respond.

A Heartfelt Plea for Awakening

"I, Wei Chueh, speak these painful words from the depths of my heart. I have seen the truth from the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, and I see the danger that my followers face. Do not let your practice be in vain. Do not let your pride in your meditation keep you from the salvation offered by Namo Amituofo. The cycle of rebirth is relentless, and without the power of the Buddha’s vow, it is nearly impossible to escape on one's own strength. Please, for the sake of your own Dharma Body and life of wisdom, wake up! Namo Amituofo."
