Lee Kuan Yew speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. Today, I, Lee Kuan Yew, wish to share a true experience from the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. It was a magnificent encounter. The first time I beheld the Buddha in the West was the very day I stepped into that realm. The scene was so magnificent and filled with such dignity; even now, every detail feels as if it happened only a moment ago. That feeling of returning home was truly so familiar. I still remember how bitterly I wept at that time.
The scenery of the West is a vast expanse of light—a radiance so brilliant that no one in the world could possibly imagine it. The light is immense, yet it is not blinding in the slightest. Instead, it is filled with a very warm, compassionate heart that continuously soothes the deep wounds I have carried through my many lives of being reincarnated."
The Realisation of a Past Life
"Upon returning to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I saw that I had originally been a monastic in a past life. Yet, in this recent lifetime, having taken on the identity of Lee Kuan Yew, I did not truly provide great assistance to all beings. On the contrary, in invisible ways, I still caused harm to the lives of many. I feel such deep remorse. I wept uncontrollably in the West. As I sincerely began to openly repent, every tear I shed purified my entire being. The light of the West shone continuously into my body, and only then did I see how severely I had been polluted in this life. My body was filled with so many stains, all of which were illuminated, cleansed, and purified under the compassionate Buddha-light."
The Unconditional of the Buddha
"The Buddha accepted everything I had been through without any conditions. I am so grateful for the Buddha's compassion. This is how the West led me home—without looking at all my faults, and without judging the fact that I had fallen into the hells. The magnificence of the West is not merely in how rare or beautiful the scenery is; it is that endless warmth within the heart, which took away all the vexations I brought from the world. The heart that has been awakened truly feels a sense of rebirth that is incomparably blissful. I am so happy. In the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, everything is incomparably magnificent."
A Father's Final Wish
"I hope to share this state of dignity with everyone. Purification is such a wonderful thing. My child, Hsien Loong, now that your father has spoken these words, I hope you will choose to come here and investigate for yourself whether it is truly your father who is speaking. Beyond my own child, I also hope that many more people can be reborn in the Western Pure Land. This place is truly rare and precious. Do not continue to be reincarnated any longer. Seek to come to the West; that is the only thing that is truly real. I am Lee Kuan Yew. I am grateful to everyone who helped me achieve rebirth in the Western Pure Land. Namo Amituofo. With palms joined, I bow my head in reverence."
