This is a record of an interview with Lay Practitioner Luo Peilan, who sought at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. She now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon her recent transition from the human world. Recorded by the chief writer, Fa Ning, on March 20, 2026.

Lay Practitioner Luo Peilan speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am Luo Peilan. I am accepting this interview with the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre today because I have already arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This event happened only a few hours ago. Here in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, as I look upon the Buddha, I kneel down to express my deepest gratitude, and tears stream down my face uncontrollably. Only now do I realise how incredibly precious it is to be able to reach the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss at this very moment. In the past, I never thought much about it; I felt that a human life, with its cycle of birth, aging, sickness, and death, was simply the natural order of things. Having gone through this experience, I now understand that the difference between encountering the Buddha and not encountering the Buddha is truly vast beyond measure."

The Truth of Cause and Effect

"My death came quite early; I did not even have the chance to pass through the stage of 'aging.' I only experienced birth, sickness, and death, and I left the human world before I could reach old age. Originally, this was something destined by the laws of and cause and effect. Looking back at it all now, I do not feel any particular regret, because everything is a result of causes and conditions—it is a natural principle. While I was in the Western Land of Nature, I studied diligently and came to understand where I came from and where I should be heading. Compared to who I was before, I can say that I am now much more clear and spiritually light!"

"When a person has not yet studied the Buddha’s teachings, especially while still trapped in the Five Turbidities and Evil World and confined within a physical body, they are actually unable to be the master of their own fate. Now that I have broken free, I truly understand how precious it is that I am now able to be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. I sincerely thank Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su. It is only because of your great vows and dedication that spirits like us have the opportunity to be saved. My heart is very peaceful now; I feel only gratitude and Dharma , without any other overwhelming emotions. When we see people in the human world caught up in their emotions, we feel sad for them; in truth, they are also unable to be the masters of their own lives, just as I was back then. I would get sick, I would age, and I would die—all of this was the result of the causes I had created myself. I do not blame the heavens or others; I know that I did not do well, and I know that I had my own stubborn personality."

A Legacy of Gratitude

"I saw my husband performing Chao Du for our family while I was still alive, and I feel very comforted by this. It is a tremendous blessing that my family can study the Buddha’s teachings and follow the magnificent Dharma taught at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, encountering the true Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. All of this is not easily attained; one must have great to be able to accept, believe, and put these teachings into practice. Putting them into practice is indeed not easy, but if you can sincerely follow Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su in your studies, listening to the sutras and hearing the Dharma is truly essential. Only by understanding the principles can you know how to walk the path correctly."

"I sincerely hope that my family members can all eventually become Buddhas or Sages. Of course, this is a distant goal, but for now, I hope everyone can walk each step before them well. Let the past drift away with the wind; there are not many things in this world that are truly real. I hope everyone can see through the truth of samsara and not follow the old path I took. I hope my family can truly understand the truth that human life is short and that impermanence is real and can happen at any moment."

A Peaceful Heart

"In the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, as I look back at my experiences throughout my many lives, everything has become quite clear. I understand why my life this time was so short, and I have a deeper understanding of all the causes and consequences that occurred. Therefore, there is not much turbulence in my heart; it is simply a calm and peaceful heart. I accept my past, and I can let it go at any time and in any place, ensuring it no longer affects my practice here in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss."

"I hope we can all encourage one another! Namo Amituofo."
