This is a record of an interview with Zheng Jinjiang, who sought at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon his transition from the ghost realm to the Western Pure Land. Recorded by the chief writer, Shi Faxin, on October 21, 2022.

Lay Practitioner Zheng Jinjiang speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am deeply grateful to the Buddha for allowing me to arrive at this magnificent place. I offer my heartfelt thanks to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre and to Practitioner Su for their boundless .

There are still so many people in the world who are unaware of the existence of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. However, having observed their work during my time in the spirit realm, I have seen how this Centre truly and silently dedicates itself to the welfare of all sentient beings in the realm and to society at large. I was deeply moved by what I witnessed. Today, through this interview regarding my arrival in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I wish to express my profound gratitude. It is my sincere hope that, just as I have benefited, many more beings—both human and celestial—may also find the path to liberation."

The Golden Splendour of the Western Land

"The Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is a place of such exquisite beauty that it is truly unparalleled in the world. As I look upon every scene and every object here, I am struck by wonders I could never have imagined in my wildest dreams. The clouds here are made of gold, and the very earth beneath my feet is golden, radiant, and pure. No matter where I travel, the temperature is always perfectly pleasant, keeping my heart in a state of constant, tranquil peace.

I mention these details about the appearance of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss because there are so many people who still do not know of this place. Furthermore, there are many who study Buddhism and hope to reach the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss in the future, yet they feel as though it is something incredibly distant, almost unreachable. There are also those who study the Dharma but do not truly grasp the essence of the Buddha's teachings. Looking back now, I find that to be such a profound pity."

The Agony of Separation

"I am Zheng Jinjiang; this was my name in the human world. In the past, this name allowed me to share an unbreakable bond of blood and kinship with my family. Yet, despite that deep connection, fate eventually separated me from all of you. At the time, I was so desperate not to leave. I longed for just a little more time to stay by your side, but in the end, I had to depart alone. When I left, I was filled with such sorrow, and I know that you were heartbroken as well. Because I could not let go of my identity as Zheng Jinjiang, I fell into the ghost realm, separated from you by the veil between the living and the dead.

In the underworld, I felt a sense of helplessness that I kept hidden, for I was a man, and I felt I had to remain strong. I waited in the ghost realm, wondering if I would ever encounter you again. It was a complex and painful state of mind. If I had met you there, it would have meant that you, too, had lost your lives, just as I had. But if I did not meet you, I was left in a state of perpetual waiting, hoping for a chance to see you once more."

A Final Plea to My Loved Ones

"This complex state of mind persisted until I was guided to the Dharma-Nature Land at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. There, I was able to see Lihua and learn of the recent circumstances of my other family members. My heart finally found peace. After listening to the sutras, I understood the true beauty of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, and I made the decision to go there and wait for you. It is my deepest hope that we may one day be reunited in that beautiful Western Land.

Before that time comes, I hope that you will all find the good Causal Conditions to properly study the Dharma and listen to the sutras. While you still possess a human body, there is still time to change your destiny. If you have the ability, please remember to perform Chao Du for your own . Repay your debts in advance so that you do not have to suffer too much. Once again, I offer my deepest thanks to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre and to Practitioner Su for helping me, Zheng Jinjiang.

With palms joined in reverence, Zheng Jinjiang. Namo Amituofo."
