A Journey to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss: The Testimony of Lay Practitioner Lin Boxun

This is a record of an interview with Lay Practitioner Lin Boxun, who sought Chao Du at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon his transition from the human world, recorded by the chief writer, Venerable Haize, on November 7, 2025.

Lay Practitioner Lin Boxun speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am Lin Boxun, and I have been waiting for this opportunity to share my story. It turns out that the end of one life is merely the beginning of another. My physical body in the human world had reached its limit and could no longer function, but my spirit—my true self—has found a new home. Thanks to my daughter, Lichun, who sought Chao Du for her father, I have been guided into the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. It is something I never could have imagined in my wildest dreams. It is truly a miracle beyond words.

A Day of Profound Significance

Today, the Thrice Yearning Ceremonies held at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is a day of immense importance for both me and Lichun’s mother. We were both led by Practitioner Su to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss together. This place is truly magnificent—a realm of such purity and joy that you could never find anything like it in the human world. It is no wonder that so many people chant 'Namo Amituofo' with such devotion; everyone yearns to reach this Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. To get here, one must know how to chant 'Namo Amituofo,' a practice that Practitioner Su has taught us all so clearly.

Practitioner Su has taught us so many profound things. When we observe the work he does, it is clear that it is beyond the capacity of an ordinary person. He endures constant spiritual attacks from the demon crowds, yet he continues to save an immeasurable number of beings, and the Dharma assemblies continue as scheduled without fail. This fills me with such deep admiration. If an ordinary person were to suffer such physical and spiritual burdens, they would surely need to rest for days, but Practitioner Su simply continues his work, tirelessly presiding over the Dharma assemblies for the benefit of all.

A Daughter’s Filial Devotion

Lichun, my dear daughter, being able to encounter such a genuine practitioner is truly a rare and precious blessing. What is most important is that you had the wisdom to recognise Practitioner Su’s true capability. You made the right choice by entrusting the vital task of delivering your parents to him. You did exactly the right thing! Practitioner Su possesses the unique ability to guide us into the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre itself is also quite extraordinary; to be able to interview us as if we were having a simple conversation—such a place could never be found in the mundane world. You have encountered it, and I, your father, am here to bear witness to it. It must be your own filial heart that has brought you such a wonderful karmic reward.

A Message of Peace to the Family

Lichun, I want you to tell the rest of the family that your mother and I are now safely in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Please, do not worry about us; instead, be happy for us. We are filled with such immense joy. There are so many people I wish to thank. I thank Namo Amituofo, for I have listened to the sutras and realised that this Western Land of Ultimate Bliss was established by Him. It is truly magnificent; He is the greatest architect of all. I must also thank Practitioner Su. I have never seen anyone reach such a high level of practice, and to think that he could actually guide us into the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss! I had never heard of such a thing, yet we were fortunate enough to experience it ourselves. We are truly the most blessed spirits in the entire universe.

Although I no longer have a physical body, I am not dead. My spirit is perfectly well, and for this, I must also thank my daughter, Lichun. Namo Amituofo."
