This is a record of a message from the spirit of Venerable Master Sheng Yen, who sought deliverance and now resides in the of Ultimate Bliss. He addresses his twelve heirs, urging them to visit the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia to receive final teachings. This message was recorded by the chief writer, Shi Faxi, on July 26, 2017.

Venerable Master Sheng Yen speaks:

"My dear Dharma heirs, those of you with whom I once shared such profound karmic connections—how have you been lately? Though we now reside in different realms, the transmission of the Buddha’s teachings and the Dharma lineage should remain eternal and indestructible. I chose to transmit those twelve Dharma lineages in that year, and now, I call out to you. I am your Master, Venerable Master Sheng Yen."

A Call Across the Realms

"Today, I issue this call in the hope that we might gather together once more. There is no need for excessive words or elaborate formalities. I truly hope that each of you can make the journey to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. It is from this sacred place that my voice can reach you clearly. I have observed that in recent years, you have all been incredibly busy with temple affairs, and your work in spreading the Dharma has been proceeding with great intensity and vigour. However, there are some small, subtle matters that I have observed, and I wish to share these insights with you personally."

The Unbroken Lineage of the Dharma

"I have said before that even though I have stepped down from my physical duties, I remain the founder of Dharma Drum Mountain, and I will always be your mentor and your teacher. I believe that this responsibility remains mine to uphold. I hope that I can offer you one final set of teachings. These teachings will be far more magnificent and profound than anything I could have provided in the past, because from where I am now, I can see all things as they truly are. My words will be more precise, free from any deviation or misunderstanding."

A Final Lesson at Hsiang Kuang

"I urge you to come here and visit me. My only hope, my singular wish, is that you—the children who will always hold a place in my heart—can achieve the ultimate fruition of your practice. This is the sole reason and the only purpose for this message. As your Master, I ask that you listen to my words. Namo Amituofo."
