This is a record of an interview with the spirit of Lee Kuan Yew, the former Prime Minister of Singapore, who sought at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the . This account reflects upon his spiritual insights and his message to his son, recorded by the chief writer, Shi Facie, on August 10, 2018.

Lee Kuan Yew speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. Chanting Namo Amituofo... it does not mean you have to die! Every morning, while the rest of the world is still deep in slumber, this resonant, powerful name pierces through the clouds. It reaches into the ghost realm, the animal realm, the hells, the heavenly realms, and even touches the spirits of space and divine beings. It stirs them with such intense excitement and anticipation. For hundreds, even thousands of years, no one has ever performed Chao Du in this manner. For the longest time, deliverance was merely a formal assembly—a ritualistic performance. Many sentient beings in the six realms of existence and those wandering in space could not truly receive any real assistance. No matter how grand the scene, or how many offerings of fresh fruit and flowers were presented, it could never compare to the genuine power of merit."

The Power of the Sacred Name

"Without the physical body, it is far easier for everyone to see through the true nature of a person—to discern whether they are authentic, sincere, and selfless. Only then can one truly subdue the masses. Every subtle thought in the heart—every trace of selfishness, greed, jealousy, anger, hatred, or resentment—is magnified and scrutinised. It is a test to see if you truly possess the virtue to lead and if you can selflessly dedicate everything to the beings of the void. Whether it is your own life, your wealth, your emotions, or your family, you must be able to prioritise the greater good and help others leave suffering behind. Such a person is revered in the void as 'Practitioner Su', because everything she does and thinks resonates perfectly with the teachings of the Buddha."

The True Nature of Practitioner Su

"In this Dharma-ending age, she does not hesitate to use her own body as a teaching tool, putting the Buddha’s teachings into practice. She embodies the word '' in reality. Even though she speaks and teaches only as a lay practitioner, such a person is worthy of us setting aside our pride to learn from her, to seek her guidance, and to support her. We must let go of our own rigid thoughts and open our hearts. Such a remarkable person is rarely seen. In the void, there are many who feel deep regret that they no longer have a physical body to follow her and learn from her. Now, I am passing this message on to you."

A Father’s Final Plea to His Son

"Hsien Loong! Life is short. Do not exhaust yourself striving for things you cannot take with you. Your body is already slowly flashing red warning lights. As your father, I believe that only here, at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, will you find your true home and the best place to learn. Believe in your father one more time! Elevate your own spirit, take control of the direction of your life, and achieve your own path to . Realise my regrets, and become the pride of our Lee family. Namo Amituofo."
