A Message from the Spirit of Mr. Chang Yung-fa
Teachings from the Thrice Yearning Ceremony
A Message of Urgent Importance
Venerable Hai Ze: May I ask Mr. Chang Yung-fa, do you have anything you wish to say?
Chang Yung-fa: Of course I have something to say. The words I speak today, along with the letters I have previously sent, have already been compiled into a booklet. Some of my employees have already received these materials. I implore you to treat this information as a matter of the highest urgency and to contact the leadership immediately. Do not hesitate any longer. Today marks the third and final day of this held for the Ghost Festival. I must express my profound disappointment that the Evergreen Group has not proactively submitted a single memorial tablet for the purpose of . It seems that my previous words have gone unheeded.
The of Practitioner Su
Only Practitioner Su has shown true compassion by performing the sacred process of Chao Du for the spirits of the land at our International Convention Centre, for the wandering spirits, and for the memorial tablets of my own parents, teachers, and from throughout my many lives. It is through this grace that I have been able to receive the of rebirth in the of Ultimate Bliss. Furthermore, my parents, teachers, and the karmic creditors I have accumulated over countless lifetimes have also had the opportunity to be saved and to attain rebirth in the Western Pure Land. I, Chang Yung-fa, stand here to express my deepest gratitude to Namo Amituofo and to Practitioner Su for their boundless compassion.
The True Meaning of Buddha’s Teachings
For Practitioner Su, the work of delivering sentient beings to the Western Pure Land is a daily commitment. However, in reality, this is not an easy task. Without true attainment and profound virtue, such a feat would be impossible to achieve. I share these truths with you now, and it would be a great tragedy if you remained indifferent or unmoved. In the past, I had heard of these matters, but I was far too busy to pay them proper attention. I would often delegate such tasks with a single instruction, believing the matter was settled. Now that I am on the other side, I have come to understand the absolute importance of spiritual deliverance.
- The Nature of Education: True Buddha’s teachings are not merely about seeking peace; they are a form of education. They teach us and all sentient beings how to resolve our karmic grievances.
- Healing the Spirit: By resolving these conflicts, we can prevent illness and the suffering of the cycle of rebirth.
- The Continuity of Life: Although the physical body may perish, the spirit does not die. It has the potential to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
The Splendour of the Western Pure Land
The Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is a world of supreme beauty and . It is a place where there is no conflict, no disagreement, no need for complex planning, no assessments of gain or loss, and no worldly entanglements. These mundane concerns simply do not exist there. Instead, one finds only harmony, serenity, and . You do not need to worry about the future, nor do you need to toil to earn a living. Whatever you require—food, clothing, or shelter—is provided the moment you think of it. There are many wonders there that the human mind cannot even begin to imagine, and the life there is beyond anything experienced in the human world.
A Final Exhortation to My Family and Colleagues
This world is so magnificent that I truly hope my family and all my employees can reach it. If you take my words to heart and seek out Practitioner Su, you will have the opportunity to arrive here. However, if you are too busy, if you do not believe, or if you treat my words as trivial, then you will continue to suffer. You will grow old, you will face death, and then you will be cast into the cycle of rebirth once more. No one knows where you might end up. You could fall into the hells to endure immense suffering, drift into the ghost realm to live in a world of darkness without the light of the sun, or perhaps descend into the animal realm to live as a beast.
These are not mere slogans. I, Chang Yung-fa, have always been a person who acts with practicality and stability. If I had not personally experienced and witnessed these truths during this time, I would not be able to speak of them, nor would I take this opportunity to share them with you. Do not think that these matters have nothing to do with you; they are closely related to your own destiny. If our karmic creditors come to collect their debts, our families, careers, and businesses will falter. We may face illness or even terminal cancer, and in the end, we will die, taking nothing with us. Spiritual deliverance is of the utmost importance. Living with a peaceful heart, maintaining health, avoiding sickness, and ensuring the spirit does not perish—these are not just dreams. I never imagined I would be able to speak these words myself.
Now, the day’s assembly is concluding, and there are countless connected spirits waiting for assistance. I must go to help them. They are waiting for deliverance, and I, Chang Yung-fa, am waiting for your response.
