A Heartfelt Connection Across Realms

On the fifteenth of December, 2018, we were graced with a message from the of Ultimate Bliss. This communication came from Huang Chen Jin, affectionately known as Grandma Yu Yuetao. Her words serve as a gentle reminder of the power of our practice and the deep, unseen connections that bind us across lifetimes.

Addressing her daughter-in-law, A-Tao, she spoke with warmth and clarity: "A-Tao, my dear daughter-in-law, thank you so much for your dedicated practice. It is only because you have followed Practitioner Su that I have been able to reach the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. My son did not know how to cherish you; he lacked the good fortune to see your worth. Please, do not hold any resentment toward him. What happened in the past was his mistake. Now, you must continue on your own path of practice, and he has no right to criticise you. I have come to realise that all these events are governed by the laws of and cause and effect."

The Weight of Karmic Debt

Grandma Yu Yuetao shared a profound insight regarding the spiritual work performed at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. She reflected on the intensity of the spiritual deliverance process:

  • The Reality of : During these past two days, as everyone helped to perform for my karmic creditors, I was so overwhelmed that I felt as though I could not stand.
  • The Necessity of Righteous Living: One must strive to be a good person and avoid doing harm. If we commit wrongdoings, we will eventually have to face the consequences.
  • The Cycle of Repayment: In the past, we have wronged others, and in future lives, we must settle these debts.

She expressed her deepest gratitude, saying, "I am so thankful to Practitioner Su for performing Chao Du on our behalf. Practitioner Su is truly filled with , and we are all so grateful for his tireless efforts to save suffering beings."

Nourishing the True Nature

Reflecting on the challenges of human life, she offered words of encouragement to those still walking the path. "Being a human is truly not simple," she noted. "A-Tao, you must continue to practise diligently. You have always been a wonderful cook, and I see that everyone here eats with such . Please, take good care of Practitioner Su’s health. Practitioner Su is of vital importance to us all."

This message, recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Venerable HaiZe, serves as a testament to the transformative power of the Pure Land path. It reminds us that through compassion, practice, and the guidance of a true teacher, we can transcend the cycle of suffering and find our way home.
