This article presents a message from the late Venerable Nun Fuhui, who, having sought deliverance, now resides in the of Ultimate Bliss. This testimony, reflecting upon her life of practice and healing during the early years of the Republic of China, was recorded by Shi Faxi on June 25, 2017.

Venerable Nun Fuhui speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. To my disciples at Tongluo Mountain: you have always placed your faith in this old nun. Now that I am able to offer these teachings from the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, are you willing to believe? The capabilities and the level of attainment I possessed then are the same as what is practised here now. This place is the true shortcut to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss."

A Life Dedicated to Saving the World

"How is everyone? During the early years of the Republic of China, I became a monastic to fulfil my vow to save the world. However, no one believed in me, and from that point on, I chose to remain silent. I did not want people to create negative , because I knew that my attainment was genuine. If people were to slander me blindly, they would inevitably face the consequences of the laws of karma and cause and effect. I felt it was better to keep silent than to let others create such heavy karma.

"My attainment was innate. Under the guidance of the compassionate Master Chan Hang, I came to understand my destiny. Although I had been married and had children, I still chose the path of saving the world. Once I became a monastic, I no longer had a home. I dedicated my heart entirely to the salvation of beings. This path was incredibly difficult, yet I never uttered a single word of complaint."

The Burden of Healing

"I was once a person who understood very little; I was naive and ignorant. I did not know that my skills could be used to save the world, nor did I understand what it meant to heal the sick. In truth, my appearance and my voice today serve a purpose: to confirm that the true attainment of Practitioner Su is real. The kind of practice that you at Tongluo Mountain have always believed in is genuine—it is not the 'deviant paths' that outsiders have criticised. The compassionate support of Master Chan Gong, and his great virtue, represent a true and powerful force. I dare not call myself a master who saves the world; the true salvation of the world is happening now at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre.

"Although I possessed the ability to heal, my strength was insufficient because I relied only on my own power, not the power of the Buddha. During the process of healing others, I understood clearly that I might have to sacrifice myself or endure great suffering. Yet, I did not fear this. Instead, I gave of myself even more actively. From the moment I began healing, my body was under constant strain, bearing the weight of those beings who refused to leave—what we commonly call '.' Most of those who came to me for healing had no practice and no spirit of repenting; they only wanted their illnesses to be cured. I did not care about their character. I could perceive what they were thinking, but having seen so much of the human heart, I chose not to look, not to listen, and not to smell. In the end, I chose not to speak.

"Those who came to me were connected by karmic affinity. If they were willing to believe that I could heal them, I would do my utmost to satisfy their wishes. However, there were times when powerful spirits refused to leave. At that time, my abilities were not yet sufficient to reach the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, nor could I send them there. I could only guide them to the celestial realms or the human world. Thus, my karmic affinity in this world was very magnificent, as most of those I helped were reborn as humans. This is one of the reasons why the temple flourished later on."

The Final Transition

"I never spoke of the physical agony I endured during the healing process. Later, I relied entirely on the protection and assistance of celestial beings. Their compassionate energy kept my body from withering away. I knew clearly that my abilities were not the best—there is always someone better, and heavens beyond heavens. But I gave my all to fulfil my mission. Towards the end, my physical body could barely take in food, but I could endure such pain. I had long ago seen through the falsity of the physical body, so no matter how arduous the labour, I could bear it.

"I believed in Guan Yin. It was not wrong to do so, but the level of faith and the nature of one's vows differ, and without the right direction, one cannot reach the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. My life ended while I was in a deep meditative state. I entered this state out of necessity, as I could no longer withstand the final pressure. There were too many external spirits, and my physical body had reached its limit. Yet, I still wanted to save people. So, I entered samadhi to observe the situation. When I realised it was truly the end, I chose to let go. At that moment, I knew that one day, a truly capable person who had mastered the path to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss would come to Mount Jiuhua. That person is Practitioner Su of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, along with the group of young messengers of salvation under her guidance.

"At that time, I gave up my final breath. I did not reincarnate as a human again. I followed the celestial beings to the celestial realm, where I enjoyed endless karmic fortune. I had never dared to hope for the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, but this affinity made it possible. I am so grateful. The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre has done its utmost to pave the way for you. I have walked this path, and my disciples still cherish the memory of my time there. Disciples of Tongluo Mountain, you have always believed in this old nun. Now that I am able to offer these teachings, are you willing to believe? The same capabilities and attainment are present here now, and this place is the shortcut to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. I hope you will all come to see for yourselves. My life's dedication was all for the sake of hoping you would believe this one time. Come and see the old nun in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. You should spare no effort in supporting the Buddha’s teachings. Namo Amituofo.

"To those in charge, please make contact with this place. This is my sincere intention—to see a new flourishing of Mount Jiuhua."
