A Mother's Guidance from the Western Pure Land

This is a record of an interview with Lay Practitioner Luo Yamei, who sought Chao Du at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. She now resides in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon her transition and her message to her son, Lay Practitioner Lin Zhiwei. Recorded and transcribed by Namo Amituofo’s disciple, Venerable HaiZe, on November 15, 2025.

Lay Practitioner Luo Yamei speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am Luo Yamei, the mother of Lin Zhiwei. My son, Zhiwei, is such a filial child. This time, he has truly saved us. The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is a place where the Buddha truly abides, which is why it has the unique ability to perform such extraordinary work. For us spirits who have passed on, this is the greatest news imaginable. We all know that rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is something one can only encounter by rare chance—it is not something you can simply demand. Many people who chant the Buddha's name yearn to enter the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, so we must give them every possible opportunity to come to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, for this is the only way they can reach the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss."

A Message to My Son

"Zhiwei, you must tell everyone about this. They need to know that the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre exists. This place can deliver us into the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss; it can save so many, many spirits. This is something you can only understand once you have come here yourself. If you haven't been here, how could you possibly know? If you only listen to what others say, you might not even believe it.

In any case, you must share this wonderful news with everyone. It is a rare opportunity, the kind you could search for a lifetime and never find. I feel so light now, and I have no worries or attachments left. Zhiwei, you have followed the Venerable Master Chin Kung for so many years, yet your health is not very good. You should shift your focus; you should be looking after Namo Amituofo! Or rather, it is more accurate to say that Namo Amituofo is looking after us."

The Path of True Practice

"I think you should come into the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre and practise with everyone else. When there is work to be done, you must help. When there is a need for resources or effort, you must contribute. This is how you repay the kindness of the deliverance we received here. The one to whom we owe the greatest debt of gratitude is Namo Amituofo, followed by Practitioner Su and the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. You must do your absolute best to support them.

Looking at the path of practice and realising one's true nature, sincere and diligent effort is absolutely essential. Practitioner Su is the best example for those who wish to realise their true nature. Everyone should come here to see for themselves, to prostrate before the Buddha, and to pay their respects. If you have family members who have passed away and need Chao Du, you must bring them to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. This place can lead everyone to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This is a matter of the utmost importance, and everyone must remember it. Zhiwei, especially you—you have chanted the Buddha's name for your entire life. It is fortunate that you encountered Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre at this time, or else, looking at your current state, reaching the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss would not have been easy!"

A Final Request

"Alright, keep chanting the Buddha's name diligently. Stay close to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre; that is the only way you will have the chance to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. You must remember your mother's words. Once again, I want to express my gratitude to Namo Amituofo, Practitioner Su, and the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. Thank you all."
