This is a record of an interview with Lay Practitioner Ma Shucai, who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. She now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon her transition from the to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Recorded by the chief writer, Fa Ning, on February 19, 2026.

Lay Practitioner Ma Shucai speaks:

"Namo Amituofo, and greetings to Practitioner Su! In this lifetime, I have finally, truly embarked on the path to go home! All these miraculous, wonderful things that have happened—I am sincerely grateful to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su for their great . They brought me from a world of darkness into this world of eternal light, and each step has been better than the last. First, I arrived at the Western -Nature Land, where I directly witnessed the Buddha’s compassion. After I was purified there for a period of time, the day suddenly arrived when I could be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss!"

A Mother’s Gratitude and Hope

"I have been waiting for this day for so long. Knowing that I was about to be reborn in the Western Pure Land, I am filled with gratitude from the bottom of my heart for everything! I am so grateful to my wonderful child, Fangqiao. It is because of her that all these tremendous changes have taken place. You saved your mother, and in doing so, you saved yourself. You have given yourself the same path to the West as your mother—how wonderful is that? This is something I never expected, and I am sure you did not either, did you? Since you have encountered the Buddha, you must also practise diligently yourself. Do not let down the compassion of the Buddha and Practitioner Su, who have given us this chance for rebirth!"

The Blessing of Finding the True Dharma

"My child truly has great . I must say, China is so vast, yet it is so difficult to find a place where the Buddha truly abides. This time, you found it. Although it is a bit far away in Australia, distance is not an issue at all! The Buddha’s teachings are not limited by space. Being able to encounter the Buddha means that you have reached the time in your life when you can truly shine. Listen to Practitioner Su’s Dharma talks more often; your heart will become increasingly open. Chanting Namo Amituofo and performing prostrations are even more important. While I was on my lotus seat in the Western Dharma-Nature Land, I did nothing but chant and prostrate. The Buddha-light shone upon me constantly, which is why I was able to purify so much of my , bit by bit."

The Pure Atmosphere of the Western Pure Land

"It is the same here in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. I have only been here for less than half a day in human time, yet I have already deeply felt that the very air of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is filled with the scent of compassion and purity everywhere. I must say, this is the world that everyone dreams of entering. Every being here in the West has a gentle, compassionate countenance and is filled with Dharma . This is different from how everyone looked in the Western Dharma-Nature Land. Perhaps this is the natural temperament that radiates after one’s spirit has been purified!"

A Final Message to Family and Humanity

"I want to tell my family in the human world: start learning the Buddha’s teachings early. Do not think that you have to wait until you are old and have nothing left to do before you begin. The most important thing in learning the Buddha’s teachings is to reform yourself. You must perform your daily practice, and you cannot avoid changing your personality. Only by truly working on your own heart can you possibly attain the skills of a Buddha! Your mind-capacity must be vast; this is truly important. There are many things that I, too, only began to understand after I arrived here and was nurtured by the Buddha’s teachings. You can walk a better path. Do not walk the same path I did, which in the end leaves you with nothing—wasting the precious time of your human life for practice.

Remember to believe in yourself, be honest, listen to the teachings, and just change. Help others more and think of others before yourself. These are the most important things in learning the Buddha’s teachings.

That is all I have to say, from your mother. I hope that those still in the human world can all come to know the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre and know the Buddha. You, too, must do your part to spread the word about this!"

"Namo Amituofo."
