A Mother's Journey to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss: The Testimony of Lin Dielu

This is a record of an interview with Lay Practitioner Lin Dielu, the mother of Lay Practitioner Li Jianping, who sought Chao Du at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. She now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon her transition and her message to her daughter. Recorded by the chief writer, Shi Faxin, on April 4, 2025.

Lay Practitioner Lin Dielu speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am Lin Dielu. When I first beheld the radiant presence of Namo Amituofo, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. I am also deeply grateful to Practitioner Su. Now, I feel a profound coolness throughout my entire being, and I have been restored to a youthful state.

Since arriving in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I have spent my time quietly listening to the Buddha-name, which resonates continuously in my ears. Looking at the magnificent scenery before me, I never imagined that I could experience such a day. Every breath I take is filled with a pure, divine fragrance.

The Freedom of the Pure Land

In my heart, there is no longer anything I need to pursue. Because the moment a thought arises, whatever I desire appears before me instantly. Thus, I am able to find complete satisfaction and contentment almost immediately.

When I was first brought to this Buddha-land, I was still filled with fear in my heart. I did not know what kind of place this was. It was only when I saw my daughter here that my heart finally found peace and settled down.

Reflections on a Life of Attachment

During the process of purification within this Buddha-land, I have become clearer and more awake with each passing day, and I have gained many different realisations. Seeing the heart of Practitioner Su, who dedicates everything to the benefit of all beings, I finally realised how small my own heart used to be. I was always so concerned with petty calculations, constantly afraid of suffering a loss; I never expected that, in the end, I would not have fared any better for it. Regarding all the things that happened in my past, I have repented before the Buddha.

Thank you, my daughter, for helping your mother receive Chao Du. You have allowed your mother to be liberated from the suffering I endured. Now, your mother is truly doing well. My daughter, I can see your heart, and I know it is still tightly constricted. Now that you have finally encountered the Buddha, you must take this opportunity to thoroughly let go of all the suffering you have endured in the past. You have greater blessings than I did, so you must cherish these Causal Conditions and open your heart!

A Mother's Final Guidance

After experiencing so many things, you are now very clear about what in life is true and what is false. Do not be deceived by this physical body of yours. The most important thing now is to follow the Buddha with all your heart.

In this lifetime, you must be diligent and persistent. This is the Causal Condition you have waited for, for a very long time. Mother hopes that you can see through everything and let go. Finally, please thank Practitioner Su on my behalf. I also ask Practitioner Su to look after my daughter. I am filled with gratitude.
