This is a record of an interview with Zhang Yuhua, who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. She now resides in the Western Land of Nature. This account reflects upon her journey to rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Recorded by the chief writer, Fa Ning, on February 19, 2026.

Lay Practitioner Zhang Yuhua speaks:

"Namo Amituofo, Namo Amituofo, Namo Amituofo. I, Zhang Yuhua, have never dared to let go of this Buddha-name. Even at this very moment, as I accept this interview from the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre regarding my rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, this Buddha-name continues to echo within my heart. It has never ceased, not even for a single moment."

A Heart Filled with Profound Gratitude

"First and foremost, I wish to express my deepest, most profound gratitude to the Great Compassionate Namo Amituofo and to Practitioner Su. I am so incredibly grateful for your boundless and your infinite tolerance. You have granted me the precious opportunity to let go of everything from my past and to enter directly into the Buddha-land of Namo Amituofo. Think about it—there are many people who have heard of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, and there are even more in this world who have some knowledge of it. But of all these people, how many are truly capable of achieving rebirth there? It is exceedingly rare! It is a tragedy of this age of the Dharma’s decline.

When I look out at the world today, I see the pervasive pollution and the way people have become so indifferent to moral foundations. It is understandable, in a way, that so few find the path. As Practitioner Su has often said, 'The demon crowds are far too numerous.' This is absolutely true. Never before in the human world has anyone been able to master the skills that Practitioner Su possesses—the ability to stand alongside the Buddha to save people, to save spirits, and even to save demons. Therefore, to be able to achieve rebirth, to remain clear-headed before death, and to not be controlled by the demon crowds or one's —this is a rare blessing indeed!"

A Mother’s Pride and a Daughter’s Merit

"This is one of the things that I, Zhang Yuhua, feel most deeply about. I am so grateful to Practitioner Su, and I am also deeply grateful to my wonderful daughter, Hou Juli. She has been learning at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, following the teachings of Namo Amituofo, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, and Practitioner Su for some time now. As a mother, I feel such comfort and . Our family was saved because of you, my daughter. Because your good roots, , and Causal Conditions were fully ripened, you were able to save us, and in doing so, you have also saved yourself!

You are still in a human body, and that is your great fortune. You can diligently practise Buddhism, learn to let go of your afflictions, and while you still have this body, you too can achieve spiritual success! From the Western Land of Dharma Nature, I look down upon the human world and observe the practitioners here. My greatest realisation is that to learn Buddhism, one must truly learn it with a sincere heart, not a false one. This heart is so important! A single sincere heart can help you truly elevate yourself and allow you to live a life of genuine freedom and ease."

The Unparalleled Path of Practitioner Su

"Do not doubt your own abilities. Do not think that you are incapable or that you lack the perseverance. These thoughts are simply a lack of faith in yourself. The Buddha believes in us so deeply, tolerates us, and encourages us; we must also encourage ourselves and be even more diligent in our practice! If you are able, you should visit the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. Go and observe the skills and the compassion of Practitioner Su; it will be of immense help to your life. If you are able to practise there long-term and work for the Buddha, that would be a wonderful thing indeed!

No matter where you are or what time it is, never forget this Buddha-name. I loved chanting Namo Amituofo when I was alive, and now, I love it even more. I never want to stop. The version of myself that has reached the Western Land of Dharma Nature and the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is vastly different from who I was before. Here, under the compassionate blessing of the Buddha, there is nothing that is impossible! The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is exactly such a place; it all depends on whether people are willing to truly practise.

After all, we have the personal guidance of Namo Amituofo, and we have Practitioner Su, who has realised her true nature and attained Buddhahood, to teach us in person. Looking back through history, from ancient times to the present, she is the only female lay practitioner on this Earth to possess such capabilities. She is no ordinary person; her heart and her vows are exactly the same as those of Namo Amituofo!

Having said this, I hope that all my family and friends who read these words will make learning Buddhism and chanting Namo Amituofo the most important things in their lives. Truly, there is nothing more important than this! Namo Amituofo. Zhang Yuhua"
