This interview was recorded on February 13, 2026, at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. The subject is the spirit of Kakuei Tanaka, the former Prime Minister of Japan, who sought Spiritual Deliverance after suffering retribution in the hells. He now resides in the Western Land of Nature, where he continues to listen to the Dharma and reflect upon his past life and the spiritual state of his homeland.

Practitioner Su speaks:

"Kakuei Tanaka, tell us how you ended up in hell. You must be grateful to Namo Amituofo for leading you out. The place you are sitting now is called the Dharma-Nature Land. In the Dharma-Nature Land, one does not grow old, does not get sick, and the spirit does not die. In Japan, you focus on technology, but you have never truly developed the human body. Here at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, we are developing to be free from aging, free from illness, and to ensure the spirit does not die. Tell me your thoughts after watching me perform ."

Kakuei Tanaka speaks:

"Every angle of life follows a precise scale of measurement." This was the life motto I, Kakuei Tanaka, believed in. Every decision I made when facing events, every reaction when meeting people, and even every thought activity within my heart, followed extremely precise standards. The different fortunes between people arise from these minute differences. Now, as I listen to the Dharma in the Dharma-Nature Land, I have realised that this is called the laws of and cause and effect; it is also the universal principle and the righteous path of Truth.

A Tragic Descent into the Hells

"When I was saved from hell and brought to the Western Land of Dharma Nature at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, I felt immense gratitude. I always believed that one day I would be saved, but I truly did not know how that day would come. Having suffered retribution in the brain-gouging hell and the eye-gouging hell, the Kakuei Tanaka of the past had lost all his former arrogance and composure; there was only endless repentance and wailing. I truly did not know where I had gone wrong. Or rather, I knew I must have done something wrong—after all, as the Prime Minister of Japan, every action I took had far-reaching consequences. To say I had no faults would be unrealistic. Yet, I did not clearly understand why I had to suffer such retribution in hell. The punishments of hell made me realise that I had to admit my faults, but even constant pleading could not stop the suffering.

Until I saw a light in hell. In that instant, a golden light appeared and shone upon me. I heard a voice say, 'Japanese Prime Minister Kakuei Tanaka... ascend to the Western Land of Dharma Nature.' Just like that, in a single thought, I arrived at the Western Land of Dharma Nature at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. Its creator and builder, Practitioner Su, was the owner of that voice. I, Kakuei Tanaka, knelt on the ground of the Dharma-Nature Land, thanking Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su for saving a spirit who had been above ten thousand people in life, but was left lonely and helpless in hell after death.

The Burden of Political Power

"I am now at the Western Land of Dharma Nature at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. I hope millions of Japanese people can listen to what I, their former Prime Minister, have to say. These are my heartfelt words, spoken under the compassionate light of Namo Amituofo in the Dharma-Nature Land. There is not a shred of falsehood, because now, as a spirit, I truly know that Japan needs to change.

When I was alive, my style was very bold. I did not fear the powerful, nor did I worry about being isolated. I liked to stand with the general public. For things I felt were right, I would see them through; for things I felt were wrong, I would gather strength to stop them. This was my political style, and it remained so after I became Prime Minister. Being responsible to my own heart was important to me.

The Blindness of Arrogance

"I did not understand why I went to hell in the past, but now, listening to the Dharma in the Dharma-Nature Land and constantly bathed in the Buddha-light, my soul is being purified. The Holy Name 'Namo Amituofo' plays continuously in the air. I am becoming clearer and clearer. It turns out that my character—being clear about love and hate, and clear about right and wrong—did indeed make those who identified with me feel pleased, but it also made those who disagreed with me feel dislike. It was inevitable that in the process of handling affairs, I hurt people who stood on the opposite side. I knew this, but I ignored the fact that I was just an ordinary human. I was just like every other Japanese citizen; I would age, I would get sick, and I would die. I would also have physical and mental pain. I was indeed the Prime Minister of Japan, but I was also a spirit revolving in the six realms of rebirth according to my karma.

To put it more bluntly, I truly did not know how to be humble and modest. Because of my arrogance, I entered the brain-gouging and eye-gouging hells. Many of those who opposed me were not necessarily wrong, incorrect, or evil in their actions. Now, as a spirit, I can clearly see the past. Those opponents I had labelled and looked down upon also had their own goodness and virtues. However, once I made up my mind, it was hard to change. In my political career, I naturally developed the habit of grasping onto the mistakes and shortcomings of others and digging deep into them. This is a common ailment for every politician. From the perspective of samsara, politics is not a good path. Many presidents and leaders of countries today are suffering retribution in hell. I am just one of the lucky ones today because, thanks to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, I have been saved. Namo Amituofo.

The Need for True Faith

"When I was alive, once I judged the other party to be wrong, I would only try my best to stop them. But in reality, sometimes their position or approach was actually good for the country and the people. Or, even if their methods were not perfect, there were still merits to be found. What I, the Prime Minister of Japan who insisted on his beliefs, did not truly do was to see the goodness in imperfection and to appreciate others despite different positions. Most importantly, I was not always right. At that time, I did not have true faith. If I could have met Namo Amituofo back then, I would have let Namo Amituofo answer my questions, including how to bear the good and the evil.

I have a very deep affection for Japan. As the Prime Minister, I knew its strengths and its weaknesses. There is a saying: 'He who knows himself is wise.' If one cannot know one's own shortcomings and believes oneself to be perfect, such a view is like a castle in the air, lacking a practical foundation. This was my governing principle: only by being clear about Japan's strengths and weaknesses could I be a Prime Minister who could make Japan more prosperous.

The Spiritual Crisis in Japan

"Now, as a spirit in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, I can see the current situation of Japan and the lives of its people. Japan has vast land but also a dense population. Our country has a distinct culture of valuing men over women. Male chauvinism is a portrait of many Japanese men, and with it comes the problem of lust. The objectification of women, the normalisation of adult entertainment venues, and the proliferation of pornographic videos have seriously affected the normal lives of the people. Under this cultural background, the atmosphere of lust has taken root in people's hearts.

From the spiritual realms, I see that there are very, very many ghosts in Japan. Some are ghost deities, and there are many demons, especially demons of lust. In Japan, where the adult industry is developed, the spread of pornographic information causes the Japanese people who come into contact with it to be possessed and controlled by these demons. There are Causal Conditions from their past lives involved. Many Japanese people are controlled by these demons, addicted to lust and pornography, or obsessed with online adult content. The whole of Japan can be said to be shrouded under the control of these demons, affecting every word and action of the Japanese people in all aspects of life. I see many people deviating from the righteous path of life because of lust. Some have even taken their own lives because of it. This is all the result of being controlled by demons. All of this makes me, in the Dharma-Nature Land, feel heartbroken.

The Miracle of Hsiang Kuang

"After listening to the Dharma in the Dharma-Nature Land, I learned that the purpose of this Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is to be free from aging, free from illness, and to ensure the spirit does not die. This is a real fact, because Practitioner Su, as the leader of the human world at the temple, has truly achieved this. She does not age, has great energy, and does not get sick. I know that Japanese people have a concept that their own country is the best—patriotism, simply put. There is always a high degree of identification with everything Japanese. So, I also tell the Japanese people: Japan is a great country, but everyone still has to age, get sick, and die. Even I, the Prime Minister, had to die. You should come to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to verify this. Those who are sick can truly be healed here. Whether you are an ordinary citizen or a wealthy official, you can come here to verify it. This is very clear and obvious.

In terms of spirituality, I was even more shocked. During the , so many sentient beings—that is, ghosts—come to seek Spiritual Deliverance. It is not just ordinary lonely wandering spirits; even celestial deities and demons can be seen. It is very spectacular. Practitioner Su's spirit can manifest in countless manifestations, splitting into countless identical Practitioner Sus, emitting golden light that can cover the entire earth in an instant. I saw many sentient beings in the earth entering the Buddha-light. The sky, the sea, the air, the clouds, insects, and all things—it turns out there are spirits in all of them. Practitioner Su's uses the Holy Name 'Namo Amituofo' to open the space where these spirits reside, leading them into the light, into the Western Land of Dharma Nature. This is an indescribable . Compared to this, everything I did in the human world was just a fleeting bubble, and I even had to pay the price of going to hell. From this, one can see that the difference in spiritual elevation is so vast.

A Blessing for the Nation

"Japan is also one of the countries that has benefited from the deliverance of Practitioner Su's Dharma Body. Japan has put up two billboards, with Buddha-light guiding ghost deities to the Dharma-Nature Land. I never expected that an Oriental lady at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre would be helping Japan day and night to escape suffering, choosing real, practical help rather than the superficial help people imagine. In the Dharma-Nature Land, I clearly saw Practitioner Su's countless manifestations quickly arriving over the entire sky of Japan. Countless densely packed golden rays of light shone directly onto every inch of Japanese land. It is impossible to describe how vast this is. I saw many, many ghost deities in Japan who were surprised to see the Buddha-light. Many chose to enter the light. One can see that under the golden Buddha-light, it is a warm, comfortable, and positive help for the spirit. The sentient beings are all very joyful.

The entire Japan has been purified and has gained immense practical benefits due to the deliverance by Practitioner Su's countless manifestations. The degree to which the human world is interfered with by the spiritual realms at every moment has been significantly reduced. This is a very important matter. I am infinitely grateful to Practitioner Su for her help to the Japanese people. Thank you, Practitioner Su, because you are performing Chao Du for Japan, Japan is becoming more beautiful.

A Path to Ultimate

"We in Japan certainly have unique strengths in developing technology, but it cannot exempt us from the fate of aging, sickness, and death, or even the problem of entering hell after death like I did. However, at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, I saw Practitioner Su's demonstration. It is truly clear that people can have a different path. Practitioner Su is the best example. By learning from Namo Amituofo, she has obtained the true benefit of being free from aging and illness, and can even freely travel to and from the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. That is a bright world where the spirit does not need to reincarnate and there is no suffering, only ultimate joy. I hope everyone can go there and stop suffering.

After listening to the Dharma, I know that the education of the Buddha's teachings is indeed very important. I believe this is the antidote that every Japanese person needs. It explains the relationship between the human body, the soul, and the spiritual realms clearly. It tells everyone that if you want to be good, see good, speak good, do good, and even reach purity and goodness, you should hold onto the six-character Holy Name 'Namo Amituofo'. You can be free from aging and illness, and your spirit will not die. This is what the entire Japanese nation needs. This education is currently severely lacking in Japan. Now, at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, because Namo Amituofo is residing here and Practitioner Su is manifesting in the world, as long as Japanese people come here, they have the opportunity to obtain such benefits.

I hope Japanese people will come in large numbers to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to find the Buddha. The Buddha can solve everyone's suffering and pain. I know everyone is living very hard, or just finding joy in suffering. Coming here can lead to a different result. This is the sincere hope of this former Prime Minister of Japan.

Gratitude to Namo Amituofo. Gratitude to Practitioner Su.

Namo Amituofo.
