Lay Practitioner Lin Huoyang speaks:
". I am Lin Huoyang. It is through the causal conditions created by my descendants that I have been able to be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss and witness the Buddha. My heart is filled with such profound gratitude. The world before my eyes is so radiant—a brilliance I have never seen before in all my existence. My heart has become so pure, flowing like a gentle stream, where all burdens and attachments have simply ceased to exist. This feeling of absolute peace is something I have never experienced until now.
To have the to follow the Buddha and arrive in such a magnificent place is something I never dared to imagine. I quiet my heart and listen to the Buddha-name, which resonates continuously around me. Suddenly, I recalled a landscape I had seen long ago in my life—a scene that was quite beautiful, one I had held in my memory for years. But to my astonishment, as soon as I thought of it, a similar scene appeared before me. Yet, the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is infinitely more beautiful; it is a realm of pure, boundless light.
In truth, throughout my life, I always yearned for a stable existence. I wanted a simple life, hoping only that my descendants would live well. However, even such a modest wish is not always easy to realise. So many changes and upheavals occurred that I often felt I had no choice but to follow the arrangements of fate. Wherever destiny placed me, there I remained, enduring whatever came my way.
I realised that only by accepting what comes and keeping one's heart steady can one face the many changes of life. Regardless of the stage of life I was in, I always tried to keep things simple. Yet, even in that simplicity, there remained the debts of my past karma. I eventually had to face the reckoning of those , which led me into the hells. At first, my heart was filled with confusion and even resentment, but now that I have come to understand the laws of karma and cause and effect, I feel a deep sense of repenting.
I am truly grateful for this opportunity for Chao Du, which has allowed my cycle of reincarnation to finally come to an end in this lifetime. I know that I still have many debts that remain unsettled, so I will continue to follow the Buddha diligently. I also pray that all my descendants may live in peace and well-being.
Lin Huoyang bows in reverence. Namo Amituofo."
