On the twentieth of June, 2017, the disciple Shi Faxi humbly requested guidance from the Buddha regarding the nature and mission of Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre. offered this compassionate discourse to clarify the significance of this sanctuary.
The eyes of the public are upon this place, and all are observing the actions taken here. You may wonder, what is the origin of this centre? While many seek spiritual transmission through various means, it is difficult to compare these with the true transmission of the Buddha. The True Teachings and the truth of the Buddha exist in this world, and they are not limited to this location alone. However, this centre serves as a vital beacon.
Here, talented individuals gather like mountains rising high and waters running deep. As long as the conditions are right, the turning of the wheel is certain, and the True Teachings will be propagated once more. This place was established to call out to the ten directions, inviting those with the capacity for Goodness to follow the path of Namo Amituofo. It is a place where Namo Amituofo calls his children home.
When one first begins the work of opening up a new path, there are inevitably setbacks. One will surely experience physical exhaustion and mental fatigue. Yet, one must learn to let go of these burdens completely. In the current age, it is not that humanity lacks ; rather, we live in an era of advanced technology where we possess an abundance of blessings, yet we fail to cherish them.
Many people today are highly intellectual, constantly dissecting words and concepts. Because of this, they find it difficult to understand the true essence of the Dharma. They become lost in the letters, failing to realise that the Dharma is beyond words. If one only seeks to understand the Dharma through intellectual analysis, one will find nothing of substance. True understanding comes from within, through the integration of wisdom and the actual practice of changing one's conduct.
This path is not just for the monastics at the temple; it is for all beings. The temple is open to the public, and its mission is to propagate the Dharma to the world. Its primary purpose is purification. We must firmly reject any interference that disrupts this sacred work. The temple welcomes those who are truly seeking the Dharma, those who possess sincere vows, those who hold great , and those who truly seek rebirth in the Western Pure Land.
This path is not for those who are still deeply attached to the dust of the world. If one is deeply attached to worldly life, or if one is still entangled in emotions and desires, it is very difficult to let go. Even if one attempts to purify the heart, it will quickly become stained again. It would be better to wait until the conditions are right to seek the path again, and in the meantime, live a good life. At the very least, by connecting with Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, one plants a seed of Goodness.
Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is truly extraordinary. It is a place for genuine practice and real-world application of the Dharma. It is a place of purification, and if one can truly achieve clarity and stillness here, it becomes a place of attaining Buddhahood. It is a place of true dignity and reward, where one can depart with ease and freedom. Even while living in this dusty world, one can remain healthy and peaceful, with a body and spirit that remain youthful and free from the decay of age.
Why is it possible to be truly free from illness? It is not through any supernatural or mysterious means. It is because one has removed the poisons of the heart and body. When there is no evil within, all that remains is complete Goodness. When the depths of the heart are entirely purified, one can lead and transform the entire world. This is why this place is not ordinary. All the rituals and guidelines are published online for the world to see.
The propagation of the Buddha’s teachings and the purification of the heart are proclaimed directly by the Buddha. This is to help regulate the atmosphere of the world and restore the Right Way. By propagating the True Teachings, we provide a direct route to the Western Pure Land. The rituals and practices must be upheld with sincerity; there should be no deviation, for all must be authentic and true. This discourse was recorded by the Buddha’s disciple, Shi Faxi, as the chief writer of the Buddha’s messages.
