The Vastness of and the Heart
On October 4, 2017, Namo Amituofo offered these profound teachings to guide us on the path of practice. The karma of the six realms of existence is vast and boundless. Within our cells, it is all stored, holding the history of our journey through samsara. Amidst the myriad of possibilities, only a single point of purity remains within us. In the silence of the heart, there is nothing else to seek, and nothing else to hold onto.
The Daily Practice of Letting Go
Every day is a magnificent opportunity for growth. As we move forward and sometimes falter, we must understand that our experiences are stored within our hearts. In every fleeting moment, we must learn to let go of everything. By focusing on chanting the Buddha-name and maintaining meditative concentration, we ensure that our hearts remain steady and undisturbed. We must not allow our minds to be swayed by the external world.
The Vision of the Practitioner
When Causal Conditions arise, we step onto the path of practice. Through the convergence of Causal Conditions, we encounter the magnificent . Within this practice, Wisdom manifests. Our Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre is a precious land of Fragrant Light. As we deepen our practice, our perspective shifts through the three levels of vision:
- Physical eyes:
- These allow us to see only the human world.Dharma eye:
- This allows us to see through the six realms of existence.Buddha eye: This allows us to see the entire Dharma Realm.
Returning to the Western Pure Land
Day by day, the universe turns. With a pure, transparent heart, we find dignity and freedom from worry. Even when the world is filled with doubt, we must arrange our conditions so that when the time is ripe, we are ready. Thousands will flock to the temple seeking the path to immortality, drawn by the presence of the Buddha. When that time comes, our skills will be tested.
Let us work together to save all beings from the sea of samsara, protect the True Teachings, spread the Buddha’s teachings, and gather together to return to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This record was written by the Buddha's disciple, Shi Faxin.
