Words of Namo Amituofo:

The path radiates with infinite light, a path that is impartial, selfless, and vast. The profound wisdom of the Tathagata is like a vessel held in the palm of one's hand—perfect, seamless, and without a single leak. Every movement of your mind ripples across the lotus pond of the of Ultimate Bliss. Whether that pond remains lush and vibrant or becomes withered and dry depends entirely upon your own cultivation and the adjustments you make within your heart.

The Weeds of Attachment

When you encounter the worries of the human world, do you feel them becoming stuck within the depths of your heart? If you pause to reflect on why this happens, you will realise it is simply because you are holding on too tightly. You are grasping at things that are transient.

Within the soil of your heart, subtle weeds begin to grow. How can you pull them out by the root? The secret lies in the act of letting go. If you do not learn to release your attachments, the roots will remain, buried deep and waiting to sprout again. These weeds grow quietly when you are not paying attention. By the time you become vigilant and notice them, they have already taken hold and begun to flourish.

Clearing the Ripples of the Mind

When you feel the waves of your mind beginning to stir, ask yourself: Why has this agitation arisen? If you wave your hand to brush these thoughts aside, you will find that a trace of them still lingers. In truth, these challenges are actually opportunities for growth. They allow you to face your own nature directly. When you place at the foundation of your heart, you will see these situations for what they truly are.

When you break through these mental barriers, you will find that the of the remains. By placing Namo Amituofo within your heart, you can rediscover your original, true self-nature. This is how one searches for the true self-nature—layer by layer, clearing away the accumulated dust and grime of lifetimes. While the process of pulling out these long-standing impurities may be difficult and arduous, the goal remains ever-present.

The Emergence of Wisdom

If you can maintain a state of no-mind, you can pass through these trials with ease. When there is no-mind, there is no injury. A single blink of the eye is enough to see through the illusions of this world. As the grime is cleared away, a brilliant radiance emerges, and your heart becomes as pure, white, and clear as crystal. Suddenly, you will feel the birth of Wisdom—the manifestation of Prajna Wisdom.

As you walk along this path, you will be able to face every experience with a gentle smile. Then, you can summon the great power to save infinite suffering beings. What is this great power? It is the state of being without thought and without deliberation. It is a state where you no longer look back, and where the distinctions of 'you,' 'me,' and 'them' no longer exist.

Cultivate this compassionate nature. When the conditions are ripe, you will be able to assist all beings in their return to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

Recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Shi Faxin.
